About

Take back the city of Tertium from hordes of bloodthirsty foes in this intense and brutal action shooter. Warhammer 40,000: Darktide is the new co-op focused experience from the award-winning team behind the Vermintide series.
In the depths of the hive, the seeds of corruption threaten to turn into an overwhelming tide of darkness. A mysterious and sinister new force is seeking to take control of the entire city. It is up to you and your allies in the Inquisition to root out the enemy before the city succumbs to Chaos.
As Tertium falls, Rejects Will Rise.

Built on the legacy of Vermintide 2’s best-in-class melee combat, Warhammer 40,000: Darktide introduces intense WH40K gunplay to the mix. Master the balance between ranged and melee combat as you fight through a slew of enemies. Feel the impact of each swipe, swing, and slice of a chainsword, or fry some flesh with a lasgun.

Darktide is a co-op game. Wandering too far, risks punishment by foes looking to immobilize or capture stray Rejects, such as the slavering Chaos Hound or the Moebian Trapper. Once you fall prey to such foes, only your teammates can save you! More than that, your innate toughness – your determination to press on through the pain – only recharges when you are in the proximity of your strike team.

Create your own, unique character and customize their physical appearance, voice, and origin. Choose your class to determine which unique traits and skill sets they will make use of in battle. Will you be a seasoned veteran of the Imperial army, a snarky outsider, or a fiery zealot? The choice is yours.

Step into the violent, dystopian world of Warhammer 40,000. From boiling hot industrial factories to the decaying water maintenance zone afflicted by constant acid rainfall - Tertium Hive is a hard and unforgiving place even at the best of times. Your role is to serve the zealous Inquisition by embarking on missions to exterminate the threats lurking in the depths of the hive city, or die trying.

Adapt to the erratic whims of Chaos with conditions- mutators that add a spontaneous challenge to your mission. Your team must learn to adjust, adopt new tactics and change up their loadouts to face these ruthless challenges.

1000% After a few hours of gameplay I can tell you with confidence it's incredibly fun, and action packed game! It requires skill, understanding different enemies, and timing in order to be as successful as possible. Luckily as well at least for my little experience the randoms you play with seem to be pretty good as well!
the general feeling of this game is excellent if you like warhammer 40k or Necromunda then its even better great 4 player co-op
No idea why this game isn't more popular. Left 4 dead and Warhammer had a baby. Great gameplay and amazing visuals on top. Try it out, you wont be disappointed.
Darktide is one of the most satisfying horde shooters I've played. The combat here is just weighty. Every swing of a chainsword, every well-timed dodge, every headshot with a lasgun actually feels like it lands. Fatshark nailed the melee, which is honestly rare for a shooter-first game. It's not some filler mechanic bolted on, it's a genuinely fun core pillar right alongside the gunplay. Ability usage adds a ton of depth too. Coordinating your kit with three other players against a horde of poxwalkers (with a few gunners and specialists mixed in to keep you on your toes) makes every mission feel tense, and it's so satisfying when it all comes together. What really gets me though is how Darktide makes you feel like an actual reject, not some super soldier. You're not a Space Marine wading through chaff like in Space Marine 2. You're a convict with a lasgun and a prayer, and the game constantly reminds you of that. A single hound can drag you off if you're not paying attention, a mob of poxwalkers will absolutely swarm and kill you if you get greedy, and you always feel like you're one bad pull away from dying. That's the appeal to me. You're fighting for the Emperor because you have no other choice, not because you're built like a tank. It makes every win feel earned instead of expected. The atmosphere is phenomenal too. Tertium feels grim, oppressive, and alive in the way only 40K can be. The industrial hive city backdrops, the sound design, the soundtrack that kicks in right as things go loud, it all sells the feeling that you're a nobody getting thrown into a meat grinder. Enemy variety keeps things fresh too, so you're never just mowing down the same three enemy types mission after mission. If you're into co-op horde shooters, satisfying melee combat, and want to feel like an underdog fighting for your life instead of an unstoppable killing machine, Darktide is strongly recommended.

The experience of 'Darktide' holds great potential for delivering an epic cooperative experience in the Warhammer universe, but on the technical side, there are some setbacks that affect the quality of gameplay. The underlying engine used here, 'Autodesk Stingray,' appears to be ill-suited for the demands of modern cooperative gaming, causing physical issues with character movement and responsiveness, along with challenges in overall efficiency and optimization.
After the new update i cannot even get past the loading screen without it crashing it is unplayable now what is new though with this game never releasing any new content just classes lame and lazy it feels, i have to do a complete DDU and Software install just to play for a lil bit but lets say the next day it reverts back to crashing at loading screen, would not recommend.
