The new reference in RTS at its best! The Wargame series returns to duty, larger, richer and more spectacular than ever before. In Wargame Red Dragon, you are engaged in a large-scale conflict where Western forces clash against the Communist bloc.

why can't regular soldiers capture points, just ruins the game for me
Great game highly recommend but very hard curve to get better

I've played this game for 500 hours outside of Steam before. Campaign section only. It was good time.
Good Game. Mongolia for REDFOR when?

A timeless classic already. The campaigns, while borrowed from Airland Battle's adjoining sectors type (the "Army general" free movement strategic layer came later with WARNO amd Steel Division 2), are in my opinion a gem of immersion and engagement. A great feature like making the "strategic map" situation determine the ownership of the entry points and directions into the tactical map makes for ever exciting and diverse battles even in the same map from the pool. You can spawn surrounded, or surround and encircle the enemy, or force your way inch by inch. This is the single thing I miss the most in Warno, where on the contrary all maps are structured as more or less a meeting engagement... and the naval battles too: simplistics though they were, the amphibious assaults were much fun.
While there were no red dragons to be seen in this game it is a great way to waste a couple hours. Game holds up well for its age and still looks good for what it is. All this being said I do suck at this game and have no idea how to beat the bots on medium.
