Просто, интересно и не особо приедается геймплей. Есть редактор, который включается за счет пары движений. Можно включить и немного поэксперементировать. Все банально до безумия. Артиллерией вычищаем вражину, бережем машины снабжения и вовремя сохраняем свои войска от уничтожения. К сожалению их выдают в определенном количестве. Никто не запрещает устраивать себе отдельные испытания в уже множества раз пройденных миссиях. В силу возраста самой игры, сложности кода и маленькой фанбазы не представляется продолжение пускай и очередной, но такой знакомой стратегии из детства. Вместо CnC, Warcraft и еже с ними игры жанра ртс мое знакомство было связано с этим реликтом из 2000-х. Дешево, сердито, мало кому понравится, но олдскулы свело)

"War on Folvos" is an ancient game from 2006. It's a whopping 18 years old at the time of this review. The game lacks support for any modern gaming display resolutions (or widescreen monitors), hasn't been modernised or updated to run smoothly on modern gaming PCs. Despite this lack of modernisation, it carries a pretty high price tag for such an ancient game. This seems to have been put on Steam as a nostalgia gouge, or just a cash grab to try profit from abandonware. It was an old school turn based tactical wargame with a science fiction theme. There's certainly a niche for wargames, but "War on Folvos" was not the game to fill it, mostly due to B- tier quality even compared to other games from 2006. Apart from being really dated, there's also some other technical issues that will probably dissuade gamers from being involved in this 18 year old game (old enough to vote!) From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. There's no option to change the resolution and no useful graphics tweaks. There's no way to ensure this is running at the native resolution of your display. There's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. The game doesn't correctly account for modern PC displays, UI scaling isn't handled correctly. As a result of this unfortunate decision, text and UI elements don't display at a reasonable size, it's too small to be legible on most modern gaming PCs, and there's no in-game controls or options to correct this. This can render the game unplayable for many. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. So, should you buy this game? Is this one of the best of the 100,000+ games on Steam? "War on Folvos" is relatively expensive for an abandonware nostalgia gouge, at $4 USD, and it's not worth it. The game is just too old, hasn't been modernised. And as the old saying goes, you can't go home again. Even when it was new, this was never a triple-A game. This is the kind of game that went almost directly from the warehouse into the cheap bargain bins at the front of the shop. Now, on Steam, without any modernisation? This is impossible to recommend. This is also competing with over 11,000 free games available on Steam, many of them far better than this paid product.

Ностальгия) Когда-то в детстве я получил диск со сборкой игр от Alawar, в т.ч. и данную игру. Неплохая стратегия, у неё есть потенциал на продолжение) Можно было бы много чего реализовать во 2ой чвасти.

Good simple turn-based combat, like the DOS days. Needs HUD scaling though.

Классная пошаговая тактическая игра. Из минусов разве что лёгкость прохождения. :-)
