Instead of overwhelming you with difficulty, it invites you to slow down, solve thoughtful scenes, and piece together sweet, emotional moments. The art style? Absolutely charming. I’ve always had a soft spot for hand-drawn games, and this one makes me want to dig out my pastels and start sketching again. There’s a warmth in its visuals that feels personal, like flipping through a childhood scrapbook. It’s an easy game, in the best way—no pressure, no timers, just thoughtful moments and soft storytelling. My only small wish is for a slight delay after finishing a scene before the sticker appears. Just a beat to sit with the moment before it moves on. (Sort of) Plot Spoiler
Being in love makes you do the strangest things—like eating that very... unique pizza.
Tell Me Your Story is one of those games that wraps you up in coziness! The small story between the grandmother and Amelia is really sweet, and the artwork? absolutely adorable, soft, warm, and has lots of charm. BUT! I really wish there was a neutral review button, because this isnt a game I want to immediately tell everyone to buy… but it also does not deserve a bad review at all. It is very much a vibe game. The puzzles are extremely simple! and I mean short and easy-peasy. A few moments had me a little confused, mostly because there is no text or guidance telling you what to do before each level. but, there is a hint system available, so it never becomes frustrating or a real issue tbh. For the amount of gameplay you get, I honestly do not think it is worth the full price. But if you grab it on a good sale and just want to shut your brain off for a bit, relax, and soak in something gentle and comforting, then this game does exactly that. short: not a must buy, but definitely a sweet little experience! especially when your brain needs a nap ⁺₊⋆ ☾
I really wanted to love this, it seemed so promising. It looked perfect because I love games with this art style, that are cozy & cute, and anything with puzzles. But this wasn’t good. It was really confusing, there’s zero instruction, there’s some levels that are difficult to figure out but then there’s levels that are repetitive and boring like putting the stamps in the journal. You can tell there’s a story in this but it’s confusing and there’s no narration at all, I mean the text boxes look like this “~~~~” with a little emoji thrown in.. like what? I got this on sale for $1.99 and I’m sorry but that wasn’t even worth it in my opinion so the normal price of $10 is 100% not worth it. You only get 70 minutes of gameplay out of it and it only takes that long because you spend at least 20 trying to figure out some of the puzzles and the hints aren’t helping. The only reason I completed this game is because I found a guide that shows you what to do and I had time to waste. If they made another one, I would be probably be interested in trying it though. But for this game, I just cannot recommend it. If you do feel the need to play it, please get it on sale.
I really like the art in this game, it is very cute and has a soft storybook style. Every scene feels warm and cozy, like you are looking at a moving picture book instead of playing a normal game. The hand drawn art is detailed and expressive, and it helps show the grandmother’s memories in a gentle and emotional way. The puzzles are mostly hidden object tasks and simple point and click interactions. You move items, find clues, and place things in the right spots based on the story. Everything feels connected to what is happening, so it is easy to follow. The gameplay is very simple and calm. The game focuses more on storytelling than difficulty, so it is not stressful or fast paced. Most puzzles are easy, but sometimes they can feel a bit unclear, which may cause small moments of confusion. There is no voice narration, so the story is told only through pictures and visuals. This makes it feel more open and emotional, since you can understand it in your own way. Overall, it is a very relaxing game where you can take your time, enjoy the cute art, and slowly experience the story.
I really wanted to give this game a fair chance, despite the mixed reviews. I'm disappointed to say that I agree with the negative reviews. There are no guidelines, some of the puzzles are a single click while others are frustratingly hard as there are no instructions, and the hints (of which you get 3) just give you the solution. I made it through 1.5 maps and had no idea what was going on. It's super reminiscent of both Unpacking and A Little to the Left but the execution fails miserably.
this game looked super cute and even though it has mixed reviews, i thought i'd give it the benefit of the doubt and unfortunately, i too didn't enjoy this game :/ the art style is super cute tho and the music is relaxing, but the puzzles weren't really great. some puzzles were either super easy, tedious and/or were literally impossible to figure out without a guide or a gameplay vid. despite this, if you still want to give it a go yourself, i'd recommend buying it on sale like i did
Life is a story.
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3477969970You do things, you grow, and eventually, you become someone you're proud of. One day, you look back and realize just how rich your journey has been. You have a great story to share.
A short, relaxing story game but be aware I was surprised to find there are no words or narration like in the preview, but that didn’t stop me from feeling connected. The storytelling is purely visual, and it works quitely. The puzzles, however, I got lost during the China's journey. I wasn’t expecting the organizing elements that reminded me of A Little to the Left. The hints weren't very helpful in some cases. I picked this up at a discount, and honestly, I don’t think it offers enough value at full price. That said, I really enjoyed the art style and the heartwarming story about a grandmother sharing her adventures with her granddaughter—exploring the world and meeting the love of her life. The story unfolds gradually as you complete your to-do list, which adds a gentle and cozy rhythm to the experience.
