Each day, you'll need to loot the dungeon and find your way back to the shop before night falls. There, you can purchase various upgrades to push further on the following days within the same run.

Good tense platformer where you must turn your brain on. If you like Spelunky you will love this because it is better
Its a pretty interesting concept. I went for 100% achievements, but didn't really play any of the challenge runs (like more enemies, 1 hp, more expensive shop). Has a few issues but the game is forgiving enough to overlook them. If you like novel concepts I would give it a try, but obviously don't expect anything too grand as its rather short and sweet.
I'm not a roguelite fan, but this game fixed the genre for me. Giving multiple tries to learn and get through the dungeon makes a more stretegic and accessible version of what I'm told Spelunky is like.
Hoocha this got me SWEATING. It's like a metroidvania with a time limit, and you have to lay out breadcrumbs so you can find your way back to home base. Honestly gave me rhythm game vibes the way I was practicing my route back over and over until I could do it on autopilot
Great game! I've played my share of roguelike platformers, but Wanderling's multiple day structure really brings out new fun elements of gameplay. At first, especially on the larger level sizes, it seems impossible to try to go 4 levels deep and make it back out alive without running out of time. But the game challenges you to both plan ahead by placing safety markers and memorize the layout each time, so that eventually you can make a mad dash down to retrieve the final key and it all comes down to your platforming finesse. The music and art are also a huge plus. Highly recommend trying the larger level sizes if you find Mini to be too easy, the difficulty scales up massively, both because of time constraints and because it's so much harder to remember where the door was. I've just beaten the Vast level size, looking forward to trying the challenge modifiers.
The vibes are great and the movement is super fluid. I love the risk/reward of leaving torches to light the trip out of the dungeon, and the biggest level size gives plenty to have to explore and learn within the short time limits. I'm looking forward to trying all the challenges!
Wanderling's core loop of exploration of time management and exploration captures the magic of exploring a cave in Minecraft for the first time. The subtle decision-making of marking your path with torches and wandering through beautifully rendered pixel art environments is addictive. I particularly enjoyed the game's flexible difficulty settings. Being able to configure the size of the world generation makes getting into the game easier, while also giving players like me the option to add extra challenge to my runs. If you are a platformer enthusiast or are enticed by the artstyle, I encourage you to check out this tightly designed indie game!
Both charming and challenging, Wanderling is a unique roguelike that rewards you for planning out your routes. It's nearly impossible to make it to the end in one try, and instead you need to find and memorize the best route over multiple days and make good decisions on when to keep going forward and when to retreat back to your base with the resources you have. The visuals and music are very charming, and the environments are beautiful.
Immersive and beautiful debut game. It's difficult (in a good way) and it has me hooked and curious to keep trying to discover more.
It's sort of like a micro-speedrun exploration roguelike with light metroidvania elements, or in other words: very unique! Also super cute visuals! :)
