Awesome game! Most underrated
Simply one of the worst game ever made There is nothing to save about this game, really. Avoid it, even for free.
Hard to stay aWake after playing wake.
Tried to play but it didn't allow me to get past the title screen and now when I try to load it up again, my computer is telling me that the game is already running! WTF. 0 out of 100.
Never before have I seen such a good game have such a low score... hell, I've barely seen games with this low score unless they are literally broken and can't be played. 27% positive for what I'd give an 8/10 seems insane to me. The game has one mechanic (climbing) that feels quite clunky at times, but otherwise it's a brilliant little platformer. The way the ship sways and slightly rotates and how it affects gravity is a great mechanic I'd love to see in other games. The way that the water rises and changes the way you traverse the different areas is likewise a great mechanic. The game is very short, took me 24 minutes to beat on the first difficulty, which then unlocks the next and so on, four in total. The second difficulty has the water rise slightly faster, the third difficulty has the water rise much faster and the final difficulty has the water replaced with lava (I will never beat this one lol.) The only thing the game lacks is a bit more randomization, as it is its mostly if you get to an area before the water or after which changes things from run to run, but there's also multiple routes you can take and even three different exit points. I'd have loved to see the ship layout be randomized though. I ran into a couple of bugs, most very minor but one time I did get a black screen which persisted until I drowned.
Achievements 100% Success!

This is a game that I simply cannot recommend. The design choice of the dev to add such a harsh blur and grain to the screen make the game all but unplayable for more than a few minutes. It's literally impossible to tell what any of the objects on the screen are. When you stumble across an item, you'll either be picking up a brown blur, a gray blur, or some other kind of blur. Apparently I picked up an axe, but the only way I knew that was because I saw the achievement later that said "Here's Jonny" meant I found an axe. Whatever kind of gameplay there was to be had, I'll never know. I had to stop playing because my eyeballs were hurting so bad. They still are, as I write this review. And I'm never going back. Ignore my play time, I must've idled this for the cards and went to work or something. There's no way I could have lasted more than 10 minutes from the discomfort. Sadly, it's the dev's decision to consciously butcher his own game aesthetic that keeps any kind of decent game from coming through. The fact that you can't shut these horrible effects off is only salt in the wound. Avoid this one. Just avoid it.
Just some boring platformer with barely any plot in there. The graphics are weird, the controls feel stiff. No point playing this game as there is really not a single bit of fun in it, only frustration and irritation awaits you.
Wake is a junky retro pixel platformer with a really ugly filter over the fixed resolution graphics. The game options are terrible, the graphic assets are very low quality (despite this being some kind of remaster). The game picks up HOTAS controls and doesn't let you reconfigure them, so if you play flight sims, you can't play this. And I'm okay with that. $7 for retro pixel rubbish is too much to pay, and this is very low quality even compared to the thousands of shovelware pixel platformers out there.
