Disclaimer: I only recommended this game because it has potential and because of the low price tag. If there was an option between "recommend" and "not recommend" I would choose it. Here's a quick breakdown: This game is greatly unfinished but has no major bugs or glitching that I could see. Some of the games have little to no point (like the climbing game) Most of the games haven't been released into the game yet. The only playable game in my opinion is the bowling and MAYBE the basketball, the issue here though is the feel of the gameplay. To be more precise the handling of the bowling balls and basketballs have little to no control and it is very difficult to adjust the aim. To be fair I did have a good time trying this game with a friend and it is worth the $5 imo to support the creators so long as they have interest to continue development.
OK, Might as well start with a disclaimer. I don't think this game is ready for sale at time of this review. Even for EA it's very buggy and not enough decent mini games finished to a decent standard to recommend. Video Gameplay: https://youtu.be/swF87WjO6Uo It;s a series of about nine mini games right now with an extra two coming. All the mini games aren't great and in my opinion more work should have gone into two or three mini games and added the rest through EA. It's quanity over quality and it shows. There is nothing you would want to keep playing and one of the mini games I had no idea of what to do. I think the Dev should have spent more time making 2 or 3 decent mini games then released. Added the others as the game progressed, maybe released the first three free then added more content as DLC. Right now it's a mess of low quality mini games that were like someones project when learning to code. I can't recommend any of the games but I can appreciate the effort the dev has put in and would say that as I said above polish up 3 of the games and make them to a good standard remove the others and re-release. Then work on the other games and add them when they are at a reasonable standard. While the price is fair for work done, I feel if you buy this you may be refunding pretty sharply but that is only my opinion. I apologize to the Dev as I see you have a good idea and the framework is there I think it's just a case of trying to put too much in with not enough quality to finishing the mini games. Still the choice is yours but at the time of this review it's just not good enough for VR in 2020. VR Party Pack is an interesting game. It has a very simple concept: a few minigames for you to play with a few friends using your VR headset. The games are: bowling, free throw contest, Zero-G darts, 3D charades, climbing contest, baseball hitting, beer pong, a sort of fruit ninja, and ping pong (with more games coming). I may not have played it for long, but it is fairly self-explanitory. However, I have noticed a few things. 1) This game is VERY buggy. I can tell the developer is a bit inexperienced, but that's okay! It just means they're going to be better in the future. You can expect things like the baseballs to suddenly stop spawning, your darts not sticking to the board, or the free throw timer to start going into the negatives. 2) This is a fairly small game. The $7 price tag is fairly justified because there isn't too much to do, but it's definitely fun if you've got a few mates over and just want to ♥♥♥♥ around in a quick game with each other or if you're just bored and feel like hitting a ball around. 3) This game has potential. I have enjoyed the short amount of time that I had playing it, even though there's not too much YET. I recommend this because it's fun for awhile and I'm genuinely excited to see what the developer does with it. I wish the developer luck in their pathway to VR development and hope that if you see this review you'll in turn encourage them to keep working on this rather than let it curl up and die like most new VR games.
Can you add a back button on the game to get back to main menu? That'd be HUGE!
I've played about every game by this developer (Weston Bell Geddes) I can find. I love every single one. Each so different than the last offering such a unique experience. I had a really great time playing this game with my family and friends over the holiday. The game is buggy. The game is also in early access. I see the potential for this game, and I look forward to the future of this game. The price is so low for such a great amount of content, but that's an opinion to be formed after seeing and playing it. And yes, I really really recommend playing it with friends. Nonetheless a fantastic feat for a solo developer.
Unplayable sadly. We got this to have a light fun game to play after new years but every mini game we tried was not playable. We tried resetting the sensors and re-aligning ourselves in the center of a moderate level room and every game was hilariously unplayable. I'm sorry but this was a huge disappointment even for 5$. Out of my 15+ games this has been the only one that has been too buggy to play.
Awesome game. I LOVE THIS GAME
The physics in this game are just wrong on so many levels and I did not find the mini-games enjoyable. Baseball was the worst for me with never being able to hit the ball off the tee more than a few feet. Bowling doesn't keep proper score. You bowl a lane with two balls and then move over to the next lane to bowl two more balls. It's like what's the point? Beer pong and basketball are bad too with the balls not going where you want them to go. In rock climbing, you don't even have to grab onto anything. Just grab the wall and go up. The paddle is too large in ping pong and the physics are not great, but at least it is somewhat enjoyable. I found box artist and darts to be confusing and they should probably be removed from this collection. Overall, I cannot recommend this game in it's current state.
Lots of bugs when I last played. Most of the games were unplayable. Disappointed with this purchase. 2/10
