About

This place, a horror even for demons,
is a bottomless abyss of evil, the land of oblivion and void.
Those unaware of the secrets, deep below the surface, the place with no light, a silent place
where darkness devoured any sound
They have been suffering from hunger from time immemorial in the endless torment of sin.

The cat named 'Nabi' accidentally gets a light and tries to get out of the place of despair.
What the butterfly sees before its eyes is an endless series of doors, the door leading to
places of terrible crime and evil. Pride, lust, greed, jealousy, indolence, gluttony, anger
The doors are evidence of their crime, showing their crime scene, which is why they are
imprisoned in this place.
There's no use regretting. They are already here. They entice Nabi as for those who have been
starved for so long, Nabi is a light. Can Nabi resist their temptations and escape the abyss
Why did Nabi come here?

THIS IS BY FAR THE HARDEST GAME I HAVE EVER PLAYED IN MY ENTIRE LIFE YOU WILL FALL A LOT, YOU WILL RAGE A LOT, IT IS NOT FORGIVING AT ALL, NO SAVES, NO CHECKPOINTS be warned, most people will not like this type of game and most of the negative reviews reflect this it's not because the game is bad it's because the game is insanely hard that being said i love the horror aspect of the game and the scares are so cool, it is slightly unfortunate that a lot of the scares are inside the doors, so in order to actually see them you almost have to throw the run (it is insanely hard to get back on top of the door once you are inside a door) I slightly wish you could go inside the doors just to see the scares and then get back on top a little easier but that's just because the scares are legit so sick and as you get a lot higher you don't really want to throw a whole run just to see a new scare
Don't listen to the negative reviews! The reason why and also info on the game can be found in this vid so check it out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ArCC1V_ww0w Pros: 1. It's a very fresh take on rage games about going up (games like Getting Over It, A Difficult Game About Climbing, Only Up! and other less viral titles). What makes this one stand out - it has a horror twist to it and the fact that you're a cat. So if you liked those games, chances are you're gonna like this one. It's a very hard game, you have to be precise but the longer you play the more you "feel" the jumps (so just like the titles listed above). I can't fairly judge the difficulty level since it feels to be very subjective but for me this game is the most difficult out of all the listed titles (but it also seems to the shortest (but I also haven't finished it so take it with a grain of salt, after +-3 hours I got through 13 doors out of 50)). 2. The horror aspect is very interesting! So you're going through 50 doors that represent different sins. So you can peak or even walk in those doors and they got a story for you with either creepy ambiance or jumpscares. Seeing what's behind different doors is the motivation that kept me wanting to try to reach new heights and play more (and I still want to revisit the game and play more). Apart from the doors themselves there are also random (or they at least felt random, idk for sure) jumpscares that can happen after you leap. 3. Being a cat is also interesting here, jumps feel very accurate to cat's and the noises are very satisfying. The position of cat's ears is a very helpful visual cue that makes it easier to learn the game. 4. Cheap Cons: 1. I encountered a very annoying bug that made my adventure a lot harder. (to the dev if they'll read this: when I jumped on the 2d door (so the one before the red platform at the beginning), if I'd land in the middle or to the left of the middle, the cat's body would disappear for me making it a lot harder to jump without cat ears visual cue. If I'd jump on the very right corner of that 2d door, this wouldn't happen). Overall: If you like a challenge and ready to something similar to games like Getting Over It, A Difficult Game About Climbing, Only Up! and less viral titles then it's for you, you'll enjoy it! If you're not into those type of games then it's NOT for you.
This game is extremely hard, but practice makes perfect, top 10 baby. First NA player to beat the game. Super fun, good luck to all!
Any review for NABI should be preceded with the warning: this is a game that is purposely designed to be so difficult that very few players will ever finish it. It's important that you're on board with that notion before going anywhere near it. (it's probably also worth mentioning that the game is very temperamental on SteamDeck IME, regularly hanging at 85% load-in. I've had the best luck by forcing it to boot using Proton Hotfix.) That being said, I - typically a very volatile rage-gamer - don't find it as frustrating as one might have thought. Essentially, you play the titular Nabi, a cat attempting to ascend a hellish wall of doors in an endless void that (I believe) represents the afterlife. The game takes place in first-person, with Nabi's little ears and paws visible depending on the level of camera-tilt you've got going on, and occasional growls and trills accompanying your efforts. You aim using the mouse/joysticks, and jump forwards using the left mouse button. How far/high you jump is determined by the length of time you hold the button down: to edge forward, lightly tap it, and to leap, hold it down for a couple of seconds (you'll jump automatically if you hold it down too long). That's literally it for controls. You can look around while jumping, helping you to check whether you're on target...not that there's much you can do if you're not, as any misstep will send you plummeting into the void...and back to the start of the game. Therein lies the challenge. You must ascend some 50 doors to "complete" the game, carefully gauging your jumps to land on any available ledges. The edge of doors, wooden shelves...they're all fair game, but they're fiendishly far apart and in short supply. It can be very difficult to tell which way you're supposed to be going, too, or what the devs intended you to be able to jump onto, all of which feeds the frustration potential. But it's also what makes the game masochistically addictive. The more time you spend developing your instinct for jumps (as there are literally no visual indicators or clues to show how far you will jump), the further you'll get, and the more do-able the next ledge will feel. I say this...I haven't made it to the first achievement (10 doors) yet...but I really want to! So...what's behind those doors? Each one hides a hideous secret of some sort, a gruesome little horror vignette that you can observe before moving on...and they really are fascinating and unusual. Some early examples include a fairground tragedy, and a suicidal man. It's such a shame that the game's uncompromising difficulty will preclude so many players from ever seeing them all...still, I live in hope that the devs' next title will be a little more accessible, and that it will contain the same sorts of creepy little dioramas. Naturally, because I'm not very good at it, I kind of wish there was some kind of concession for players like me: checkpoints, unlockable shortcuts so you don't have to start all over if you fall from a certain height etc. I do, however, respect the devs' decision not to compromise on their vision - and what they've created has kept me coming back over and over for another go. It helps that dying instantly reloads you back at the starting point, so there's no load screen adding insult to injury (as you're likely to die a LOT. A lot a lot). TL:DR - Nabi is a brutally difficult, extraordinarily harsh little game to play...but it's also frightfully compelling. The visuals are vividly detailed; the rooms are creepy and unsettling; and the whole concept is mindbogglingly unique. For £1.69, even if you're on the fence, I think just buy it and give it a go - yes, it may prove far too annoying for you to persist with, but you may just find yourself a bit hooked on it, too!
Creative, simple, and difficult. This game has replaced my daily meditation practice.
I said to myself that I would leave a review only once I reached the 20th door or the next sin after Anger, but the 'Mixed' critical reception has provoked me into leaving one now. This game is different. It's more of a zen practice than a game. You jump, you fall, you try again. And sometimes when you fall, you fall through a door into another world: a tiny room featuring a nightmarish re-enactment of the worst parts of someone's life. You have no idea why you're here, you have no idea where you're going besides 'up', and nothing makes sense except for the in-game controls. You may not like this game, but you should still spend the 1.99USD and try it. The game seems to be all about imparting a visceral understanding of 'Abyss'. There are plenty of games about Hell or Purgatory or Limbo, but this hits different. I may not finish this game, few people will, but I will walk away having learned a different kind of horror. Advice for cat lovers:
Every time I boot up the game, I don't put my headphones in until the intro is over because I could only listen to it once. That said, you never see the cat harmed. Even when you fall, the cat just lands lightly back where it started. Also, I reached out to the game's first finisher and they kindly assured me that the cat receives a happy ending.
Loved the horror aspect, super fun, fresh concept and challenging gameplay, but it requires a LOT of patience :)
