Voor de kroon is a medieval wargame.
Get ready for immersive historical battles
Pull back to the RTS camera to maneuver your formations, time your charges and hold your lines. Then drop into third person and fight in the mud alongside your men while the battle decides itself.
Grounded in real medieval warfare
All arms and armor are drawn from contemporary sources. Helmets, mail and plate, weapons and equipment all belong to the era they represent and are modeled after manuscript and effigy references.
Build anything with the Warforge editor
The editors ship inside the game ready to use the moment you launch it. Create units, factions, castles and entire campaigns as easily as laying out a level, then share them on the Steam Workshop or play what the community has already made.
The Friso-Hollandic Wars campaign
Voor de Kroon's first native campaign is a full historical conquest set in the 13th-century Low Countries. Fight as Floris V to avenge your father's death against the Frisians or play the Frisians in their struggle to survive against the feudal lords. It's the first of more official campaigns to come.

Reviews
The Game is amazing and only getting better still needs optimization and feature expansion in a few areas but the progress and change the game has undergone has turned it into a very fun and highly cinematic medieval experience and the level of customization from factions to units to armor and weapons and for once there is some serious historical love with the equipment i 100% recommend getting this game.
fun fighting based game

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

The integrated version of the Total War series and the Mount & Blade series is incredibly cool! I especially love using the God View Camera to observe the flow of battles. The gore effects and synchronized kills are absolutely fantastic. I hope more content will be added in future updates!
I have had this game for a few days now and have sunk almost 30 hours into it, I am addicted. Extremely immersive and overall enjoyable even in it's simplicity. This is the new standard for how I judge tactical battles in strategy games, I have never played something that comes anywhere close to the level of shock and awe I felt when I jumped into my first battle. The campaign mechanics could use some work, however I find it extremely enjoyable regardless and can't wait to try out the many community made campaigns. The controls are not as bad as everyone is saying either, I found them quite easy to learn and master. I cant wait to see what the future holds for this title as it is without a doubt one of my new favorites, devs you guys are amazing, keep it up!
After playing it for almost an hour the game to me felt very unfinished. I know its early access but you figured that the game being out for almost 4 years would have a more solid interface.
bad game, buy bannerlords instead.
I like this game but there are some problems with it like the ai not wanting to do single combat for some reason always saying no even though i out number them and have more cavalry. The campaigns are really short but if you do the conquer all it fells more like a grind at late game if your not playing as holland. Castle sieges are so long and not fun at all, just waiting for your troops to hopeful win and then just die even though their some of the best siege troops in the game. I do like combat in the open areas more. 8/10 good game just needs some things to improve on in the future.
