Silly sarcastic spooky buoy vibes. I have vague memories of playing it one times as a kid and so picked this up. It's pretty fun but can feel a bit long.
Childhood favourite! Give it a try!
This game is so FUN! I didn't play this before buying but It gives off such strong nostalgia.
Voodoo Vince has the magic of things from my childhood it's bleeding passion/whimsy,but it's unique with it's themes, locations, and protagonist. If you like platformers this is one of the best on steam period and you need to experience it like yesterday
Voodoo Vince is truly a hidden gem and one that I wished I found sooner in life
This is the definitive version of this cult classic, the original has its issues such as shoddy controls and poor depth perception. This remaster fixes those problems whilst also smoothing out the jagged graphics to finally allow the gorgeous artstyle to pop to its full potential.
just a classic
I may be highly influenced by nostalgia, having played this when I was younger, but I love this game. Great charm, good amount of weirdness, funny and witty lines, and pretty fun platforming. The music is INCREDIBLE, may be my favorite thing about this game honestly.
This game is such a delight!
Vince is a funny guy.
童年的回憶,以前在XBOX第一代主機遊玩過這遊戲的原版,結果還沒通關主機顯卡就出問題了,出現了花屏現象,於是長大後看到這遊戲出了重製版,一定重新買來通關👍👍
The poor-mans Psychonauts. Very basic at best with the only unique factor being it's New Orleans vide (Even then, Psychonauts does jazz, a swamp, twisted landscapes and carnaval environments way better). Platforming is dull, Vince feels very slow to get around the large flat environments. He's also an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, but not in a fun way! More like that friend of a friend who won't stop complaining about wanting to go home, but never leaves themself. Combat happens, you get and are encouraged to spam an instadeath AOE attack. I think I know what happened. They put all their best concepts in the first few levels for the demo disc in Xbox Magazine and then they never expanded on them, or even used them again outside of the bosses, so development could be finished in time. I've seen so many old games do this, even some of the good ones. Like, the game makes a big deal out of [Censored] yourself to kill enemies, because you're a voodoo doll! But that only really happens in the levels released on the demo disc, bosses (technically), and your instadeath AOE attack. Everything else is a normal, average platformer of the time. With a couple of gimmick levels. The one were I was shooting small floating JPEGs of classic movie monsters in the only on rails first person shooter sequence was surreal. The final boss was a platform challenge that tests your patience. There's these 4 screws (in a set of 2) that you have to stand on one to raise the other, and once you jump off they slowly decend. So you are literally just standing and jumping over and over again on 2 screws, to get to a higher platform with 2 more screws. And once they're done 3 sets of 3 floating platforms that you have to wait to get into position. This game left me feeling bored, frustrated and wanting to quit since I reached the graveyard, but I kept going in case something cool happened that explains why people call this a hidden gem. I couldn't find it.
