Alright, maybe I haven't played this enough to fully appreciate it, but Voidrun kinda isnt all that great. The overall gameplay is good in concept but you tend to be pretty underpowered at the start of each stage. Enemies can sometimes be totally fair and have cool mechanics, but others just randomly evade your attacks without a consistent way to trap them, or hit you point blank with unreactable projectiles. The hitstop effect whenever you pick up a powerup or defeat an enemy also sometimes leads to getting distracted and then hit by an attack as soon as it ends. Bosses can sometimes be cool, but can also take an annoying amount of time to beat due to similar evasiveness and unfair attacks. The classic mode is neat but extremely difficult, the arcade mode is kinda bad since you only get one life for the entire thing, and the adventure mode is probably the best one, but the balancing is all over the place, and the system of "sacrifice your ability to fight to get minor upgrades" isnt very good either, as well as the general lack of extra lives making it very difficult to make much progress unless you finish every stage without a single death. The soundtrack is definitely the highlight though, much like most bad sonic games. If you're interested, id reccomend just waiting for a sale if you REALLY want the game, but if you're on the fence, i'd say don't.

-Enemies should less sensitive for your presence and move on their track. Like gal's panic. -Limitation on 'line' is not good difficulty control method -Why there is time stop effect after every kill. it's annoying.
It has a unique premise with good execution. The art and music are really well done.

Love the art style and music, and plenty of variation to the interesting game play mechanics. Great arcade game!
The simple, random nature of each run keeps it feeling new. After a roulette of a few perks youre presented with a varying selection of planets to conquer, each with their own amazing soundtrack, crazy enemy types and environments to either destroy or use to your advantage. Encasing aliens in a nullifying ring of void balls takes some skill, a little patience and yeah, a lot of balls. Voidrun would have been a black hole for quarters back in the day
Loads of interesting, tricky life-forms to entrap and explode. A selection of exotic planets to obliterate. Fine tunes to enjoy, while you eradicate all life in the void.
Completely Unfair.
somehow confusing for beginners, a lot of trial and errors. but a neat idea executed well enough to be very fun.
