Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.43/day in the week to Aug 11 → 6.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

No wonder James Workshop was afraid
Calling this game "inspired" by FTL feels a bit disingenuous. Marvel Rivals was inspired by Overwatch, which itself was inspired by TF2. League of legends was inspired by Dota. But this game? This game feels more like a modded version of FTL. This IS FTL. There is not nearly enough unique about this game to warrant the asking price. With that being said my final verdict is that if you haven't played FTL before, buy that game, it's a classic. But if you have played FTL and want more, buy this on sale.

FTL but better in every way.
It's exactly as good as you want a 40k reskin of FTL to be. The soundtrack is better than you'd ever imagine tho, and there are significantly more features than you remember. Sit down, captain, the command throne is prepared for you.
Pretty cool game, played the demo a lot and just got around to getting it.
a lot of fun! i got interested in rougelights after playing balatro and was curious about the genre. I love strategy games, especially with cool stories and the opportunity to imagine your own lore and journey. I played a lot of cosmoteer - one of my favorite games but once i had a high powered fleet of ships and was steamrolling the computer I got a bit bored of the gameplay loop. I looked at FTL and tried it for just a bit but ultimately the art style and more felt a bit cheap. Enter Void War - Man, I love the grimdark atmosphere, the low poly graphics, and gameplay loop. I love how each run feels special and the game feels dire, like its truly the end of the empire and its you against the world with your motley crew. The mechanics are straightforward but feels like its one of those "lifetime" to master - the random OP infected ship that just decimates your crew with tons of summoned monsters are youre just waiting for your weapons to charge so you can hopefully finish them off before they finish you. Nothing beats the feeling of getting to the final node, only to run out of all your lance ammo and be left with just your plasma weapons that only take out the enemies shield while you basically just watch the final boss chip away at your hull while you can do nothing. Inexpensive - runs well on my computer and laptop, and I would certainly play this for hours on a plane ride. Worth every penny!
While its a niche game, I do really enjoy the gameplay and different approaches to the game you can take. I also like that there is different commanders and spaceships. The visuals of the game is not for everyone but I think its done great. The music adds a good atmosphere as well. This is a very fun game that has an addicting loop. Although people say its similar to FTL(havent played it but watched it), I think that I like the visuals, music, and overall gameplay on Void War more. 10/10 from me.
Could maybe be a little bit more different from FTL (even most of the upgrade costs are identical), but I love FTL and this game is scratching an itch. Initially had issues getting it to run, which are resolved, but it still takes a very long time to launch.
Good game with extremely fitting and atmospheric music. Sound design can be improved, it is lacking in comparison to music. Ship art and other non-gameplay elements should be of higher fidelity, right now they are too abstract. I wish it was licensed to be proper WH40k, but for a layperson it already can pass as a WH40k game.
You wanted more FTL. This is more FTL. More systems, more everything and a different setting...
