It was alright I enjoyed the art a lot and the general vibe n such were fun. Im a big fan of looter shooters so i enjoyed runnin around and stealing all the loot i could find. Combat was alright, some weapons felt a bit off but nothing major. Though the shocker speficially was too powerful. Because of how tough and everpresent robot enemies are (turrets, cameras and security robots), the fact it has a much longer stun duration for them and the fact that you can very easily just stun any enemy and run away - it was basically a must have for 80% of the levels. Enemy variety was neat, though by the later stages it does use recolors of previous enemies as stronger versions which i always find a bit lame, but seeing as all the enemy sprites are 2D art, drawn from 8 directions for most of the animations, it makes sense. I do think the game starts to drag on by the end but luckily with good resource managment you can basically skip to wherever you need to be. The roguelite aspects were kinda whatever. I fully died only a single time and the setback is so nothing that i feel like they could have dropped that aspect and just made you lose some resources instead. And the ending may be a bit anticlimatic. You just beat yet another regular level to get the last part you need and then it just ends. You unlock challenges after that but i think ive had my fill. Overall if you can grab it on sale id say its a pretty good looter shooter for the value.

Бей и беги! Соло экстракшен лутер-шутер с обширными возможностями, один из лучших в своём роде. Интересные противники, интересное оружие (как следствие, разнообразные пути прохождения), процедурно генерируемая добыча, много кораблей для облута и возможность крафта деталей из мусора. Плюсом интересные модификаторы миссий и в итоге получилась хорошая игра, в которую хочется возвращаться.

Fun game. Great for a casual pick up and play on normal or lower difficulty. Ranks up the difficulty on the 2 high ones. Where you have to manage resources and strategically move across the map to gather equipment needed by the main vessle. My criticism is the shooting and hitbox detection is a bit janky and anything that explodes is practically a nuke to your health. The RNG is rather harsh on the player, If you like cheeky kind of storytelling like Boarderlands 2 or looking for a casual rouge style running game. It's worth a pick up on sale.

Really great game with a unique style. From the art style, the humour, the level and ennemies variety, Void Bastard as a lot going for it that makes it stands out and worth playing. My friend gave it to me, but I would have gladly purchased it myself knowing how fun it is. The DLC is nice. Not necessarily a must purchase for your first playthrough but a nice additions for the following runs.
