You talk to an anime girl about seashells so this game is a masterpiece.

В основе сюжета лежит лето мальчика по имени Кантус, которое он проводит в приморском городке. Его жизнь, полная обычных дней, кардинально меняется, когда на пустынном пляже он встречает загадочную девушку по имени Марис. С первого взгляда становится ясно, что она не обычный человек. Она кажется частью самого моря: её окружает аура таинственности, меланхолии и неземного спокойствия. Игра проводит нас через их растущую дружбу. Они разговаривают, слушают море, делятся мыслями и впечатлениями. Марис часто говорит загадками, намекая на свою необычную связь с океаном и его «голосами». Кантус, очарованный ею, постепенно пытается разгадать её секрет, который оказывается гораздо глубже и поэтичнее, чем можно предположить вначале. Игра не пытается шокировать неожиданными поворотами. Её сила в создании устойчивого, пронзительного настроения, которое находит отклик у любого, кто когда-либо с грустью вспоминал «то самое лето» или «того самого человека», который навсегда изменил его.

It was pretty... is all I have to say about this game. It's a quick read and very kinetic. Didn't feel very connected to the characters to feel the emotion it wanted to evoke.

[b]Voices from the Sea[/b] is a sweet story from [b]Zeiva Inc.[/b] following Cantus (a young boy) and a mysterious girl he meets by the sea – Maris. It’s a beautiful and moving slice-of-life game with a touch of supernatural. And shells collecting. Can’t forget about that part. The game is not long, but it’s definitely not an issue. The interactions between two of the characters I mentioned earlier are about different topics, which don’t make you bored. And dialogues of each of them shows their personalities very well. Overall the game has fantastic atmoshpere. And the place – by the sea – is working very well with the music. [b]Voices from the Sea[/b] is a free (!!!) Visual Novel with two paid, but not expensive DLCs. First one: [b]Voices from the Sea – Plus[/b] – adds full voicover, galleries, wallpapers and side stories. Second one offers a Mini Artbook. Personally I have purchased both of them after fully playing through the game and think they were totally worth it. I also played the game on my YouTube channel about 10 years ago. This is an excellent reading experience for German learners :) The dialogue and narration are both simple enough to understand, but there is still a good amount of grammar and vocabulary to learn and practice. And I like the atmosphere.
