Chippy's Escape from Seaberry Keep

Chippy's Escape ist das dritte Spiel von Cozy Strawberry. Und wie Teil 1 und das Winter-Spinoff ist auch dieses Spiel sehr eigen im Stil. Es ist sehr kindlich und setzt ganz auf die bewusst "paintige" Grafik und einen zuckersüss-niedlich Humor. Auch dieses Spiel ist wieder ganz auf Kinder ausgerichtet, aber die anderen Teile zeigten ja, dass das Spiel durchaus auch Erwachsenen Spass machen kann. Leider ist dieser Teil aber der mit Abstand schwächste Teil der drei Spiele. Das Positivste ist sicher, dass er den noch offenen Handlungsbogen aus Teil 1 abschliesst. Die beiden Spiele ergeben so quasi ein Ganzes. Leider ist die Qualität des Inhalts deutlich tiefer als bei Teil 1. Die Story wirkt viel kürzer und uninteressanter, ja fast schon gehetzt. Irgendwie kommt man gar nicht so richtig nach und das Ganze ist extrem geradlinig. Es gibt viel weniger dieser kleinen und liebevollen Gags, welche die anderen Teile so sympathisch gemacht haben. Überhaupt wirkt das Spiel insgesamt irgendwie nur halb fertig, was sich an einer ganzen Reihe unzugänglicher Locations zeigt, die einem vorgaukeln, dass da was versteckt ist, die aber unzugänglich bleiben. Was bleibt ist die sympathische Vertonung und der eigenwillige Stil, der durchaus eine nette Abwechslung ist. Aber nachdem ich Teil 1 und das Winterspinoff als unterhaltsame, kurzweilige Abwechslung empfand, war dieser Teil letztlich doch irgendwie langweilig. Sehr schade. Trotzdem hoffe ich sehr, dass wir irgendwann noch mehr solche Abenteuer vom Entwickler bekommen, weil sie trotzdem eine sympathische Abwechslung sind. Fazit: Leider nicht so unterhaltsam wie Teil 1 und darum keine Empfehlung, trotz aller Sympathie. Wer aber Teil 1 gespielt hat, bekommt hier ein kurzweiliges Abenteuer mit dem Abschluss der Geschichte.

Its charming aesthetic, kooky characters, minimalistic but fun gameplay and endearing story all combine to make a cute, relaxing experience that is perfect to enjoy with a nice cup of tea. An absolutely adorable game! I was eagerly looking forward to it after playing the first, and it was even better than I expected! I loved the addition of bunny, and the new rooms to decorate! It was nice to meet the Witch, and I loved the puzzles to find the keycards! If you're looking for a short, but wholesome game with plenty of decoration options and adorable characters, this is the game for you!
