About
Lead your troops to victory in a huge open world set in the Vietnam War.
Play as U.S. or Vietcong / N.V.A. on an ever changing battlefield where other units move and fight independently of player.
Command your squad to follow, stay, attack and change formations etc.

Missions of various types are provided based on the situation in the area. However, there is no story or main mission progression.
Use radios to request airstrikes, artillery support, reinforcements and supplies.

Patrol the Mekong delta and lush river valleys. Search and destroy the enemies in dense jungles and defend the hilltop fire bases. Protect loyal villages from enemy infiltration or teach them the price of betrayal.
Build perimeter defenses. Eat, drink and smoke to calm the nerves, or pop pills to feel energized.
Keep an eye out for booby traps, tigers, snakes and critters as you root out tunnels and hidden fortifications in the jungles. Avoid capture or become a P.O.W.

Bomb the Ho Chi Minh Trail or lead special forces across the border into Laos and Cambodia to disrupt enemy supplies.
The game features one huge 1000+ km2 map that covers North and South Vietnam, and large parts of Laos and Cambodia with hundreds of manually built bases and villages.

Fly jets or gunships, or man the door guns. Pound the enemy using tanks and artillery and a vast arsenal of weapons.

best ever Vietnam war game I've played, every aspect makes it feel much more real to reports of what happened in the war. Previously you were shot very frequently through shrubbery or under hard to see areas but recently the ai was changed to make it very less common. according to reports from the war often times when US soldiers were under fire it was behind the tree line or at least hidden in some near impossible to see location. the movement was also patched recently making it much less hard to move around which was my sole unfavorable aspect of the game. For a game made by a solo dev it puts everyone else whos tried making any grunt war game to shame. Many people dislike how the game might lag when it loads the 1 to 1 scale of real vietnam which basically shows how ignorant they are since no technology available will make the game not freeze for a mere microsecond when flying around in jets at their top speed which is the only time it stops briefly to load. I always have 100+ fps while playing too. unless 2 air strikes come in at the same time then it could fall to 80+. i have almost never seen any previously added content work incorrectly or bug out but a but that used to happen when loading which permanently froze the animation until the game was restarted which yet again is a crazy feat for a solo game dev. anyone who thinks this game isnt to be recomended should likely try to make a similar game for themselves then they will realize this individual does better than any AAA game company ever did or will do.

if you wanna game where you can just screw around shooting stuff in a very inaccurate depiction of the vienam war you've come to the right place. you'll die constantly. you'll die enough times where you're strapped in a wheelchair and still sent back to the field. you'll hear your character constantly moan about water and food in the most deadpan voice imaginable (accurate). you'll find out how airstrikes work and love the mayhem. i can't wait for this game to be more polished and finished. maybe some multiplayer? or at least enough complexity to where the simulation can fully run on its own and you have competent squad members/easy to understand vehicle controls. light recommend.
the games great but the ai of the squad needs a major fix. they never follow me and always wonder off. I'm always fighting alone the squad never does any of the fighting lol.
This game is like a hidden gem. I effn love it. It has so much potential and the combat zone is HUGe. Vast, different unit selections, missions. Getting R&R its crazy. I think online Co-Op would be dope aspect as wekk as the movement could be refined but its DEFINITELY a great single player game
MAKE THIS GAME VR!
Its obvious that the developer put tons of effort and a near overwhelming amount of love and dedication into this game. I really really REALLY want to LOVE this game, but there are so many problems, bugs and general jank that really needs to be fixed before i can recommend, especially considering that the dev seems to be focusing on adding more features instead of focusing on fixing bugs and optimization, even on an SSD it takes real world minutes to load each map, and thats not including the time the game spends of not being responsive. Lag, low fps on lowest settings even on a powerful system, crashes, etc. this is a game is a fantastic concept with so much potential and an overwhelming amount of freedom. But there are so many problems that need to be fixed. But hey...i guess thats the reason for early access.
A buggy, broken, laggy mess of a game with far too many mechanics than it can handle
Pretty close to what an autistic guy would have experienced during the Vietnam war. 10/10 absolute chaos, imagine combining ravenfield and running with rifles, this is what you get. Oh, works very well on steam deck 👍
better then that hell let poop game or whatever its called
The only thing missing is multiplayer
