About
A THRILLING STORY
The year is 1888, the war against the ruthless "Nation" is coming to a head and threatens to completely destroy the alternate land of Hemera. As a last resort to save their world, Jules Verne and Captain Nemo embark on a search for the source of the power of Atlantis aboard the infamous submarine Nautilus.
If the legends are to be believed, an ancient artefact lies buried there that has the power to change the course of history: the Flame of Hephaestus! An artefact whose mighty power was once responsible for both the rise and fall of legendary Atlantis.
On his journey, Jules Verne will not only discover unimaginable wonders and mysteries - he must also confront a dark and seemingly overpowering entity whose sole ambition is to eradicate the power of imagination from the minds of all the people of Hemera ... including his!

The Shape of Fantasy: Verne is a point and click game set inside Jules Verne's mind during a creative crisis. Verne journeys through a darker fantasy world built from his own undeveloped stories, not realizing it's all in his imagination. The world reflects his internal battle, exploring what happens when creative imagination struggles against destructive self-doubt. And the game shows all of Verne's ideas in beautiful 2D pixel art from the Mysterious Island to the famous Nautilus submarine. The gameplay mainly consists of small puzzles you solve between dialogue. The puzzles are nicely balanced, not too hard, but not too simple either. The story isn’t very long, but it keeps a good pace so it never feels dull. There are also a few lore collectibles to find, giving more background on Verne’s stories and ideas. So if you want a tight, narrative driven 2D point and click game and you’re aware of or interested in Verne’s work, The Shape of Fantasy: Verne is definitely worth a look. I do recommend it.
Felt too anticlimactic in my opinion but still great art and somehow unique story. Short and chill game, storyline heavy good for something to spend a few hours with.
Stunning game with a great story, albeit a bit predictable.
Great story
An interesting game. And know a lot through playing.
This game is ok at best. I found the delivery of the story to be lackluster, the gameplay is mostly dull and somewhat halting; I only finished this because it's short. I like the art and the environment design of this game- there's some cool scenes & scenery, and really, I did play/continue for that.
