I still end up with paint on my hands.
Fun to paint, cool pressure system. Painted for an hour before accidentally exiting without saving, then threw my controller across the room. Good game.
this game reminds me i cannot paint to save my life in such an impressive way
I'm no artist, but even I painted a robin that i'm proud of. If you're even remotely interested in making art, you need this. Paint with Bob Ross, it's every bit as relaxing as you would expect. One thing I'd love to see but I don't expect - just QOL for a rare few of us - is an option to have the colors labeled on the palette for the colorblind (just at their starting locations, from there I can mix based on my knowledge of colors or ask my wife what colors mix to make what lol). I'm able to feel my way around for the most part, though I may have a purple mountain or red tree here or there.
I can make happy little trees without having to buy Canvas's
I initially pirated this program, but ended up buying it because it was so good. Great thing to relax to in VR, since most of my other games are shooters. VR gets really intense and tiresome, Vermillion is a nice break. Good for watching videos in the background.
This is fantastic! I originally played/used it a bit back in 2021 and it was nice, but it has improved SO much since then. The color dropper makes it so much easier to use, and all the settings for paint thickness and infinite paint and stuff, it used to take forever to paint refilling the brush all the time and needing to mix more paint. The wrist rest thing is super useful as well. Honestly my only real complaints/wants would be an option to add more layers, like sure you can just turn off paint mixing when you need to do something specific, but I like the security of being able to easily erase specific stuff. 4 layers ended up being slightly lacking in one of my more involved projects. I also had a bunch of crashes trying to use the index knuckes with my quest 3, it works fine with the quest controllers tho so IDK. nothing that was too big of a deal tho. oh and it would really be nice to have an eraser tool that is like a paintbrush or like, a small round sponge on a stick. I just dislike the eraser tools shape, though it does its job. even if you dont know how to paint, its super easy to learn with this. being able to undo and having a bunch of digital editing tools makes it much more accessible and fun. bonus because you can pop up the easel and stuff in any other vr game, or even just to have it to work on while you watch a video. really cool and seemed to work fine, definitely needs a good pc though.
I still cant paint, but at least its fun!
Honestly, one of the best if not the best vr painting game i've played, mostly for the abundance of helpful tools (both as in actual painting tools and heavenly settings/configs), my favorite part is finally being able to export what i paint as an actual image + having actual layers to paint with (btw wish there where more available to use). Though the price was a little salty, i can confidently say that it was worth paying for, the level of quality is something rare even in games made by highend studios, and this game nailed it perfectly, so my congratulations to the dev team 👏👏👏. that being said...
please let us add more layers dude, i'm not a good enough artist to use just 4 yet 😭
I got sucked in. I have more patience than talent, but oddly, I think that's all you need :D The interface is full featured, but most of the time you just grab the stuff that is there and you do what you would do if you had the physical implements - I call that pretty damn good VR UX! This is a calming app. If you are feeling stressed out, go in here and mess around with paint, you will surprise yourself just how at peace you will feel.
