About
Painting VR is a realisitic virtual art studio where you can paint whatever you like.
Paint a landscape. Paint your dog. Paint a giant floating banana. Nobody's stopping you.
Mix colours, try different brushes, work from reference images, or start with a blank canvas. There are templates and colouring pages if you'd rather not start from scratch.
The painting feels surprisingly natural. Colours blend together the way you'd expect, brushes behave like brushes, and before long you're focused on what you're making.
Fill your studio with your artwork, customise the space, paint in zero gravity, or switch on rainbow paint when realism starts feeling overrated.
Some paintings take hours. Some take five minutes. Both can go on the wall.

its not a bad game, the painting is honestly pretty fun. controls are a little buggy and sometimes the tools randomly drop from my hands which can be pretty frustrating. but its still a pretty neat experience with the paint physics themselves. the reason i cant recommend the game is that there isnt a lot in the game for the 20 dollar price tag. not that many tools, 2 locations... it feels like a demo. yet, there is 3 paid dlcs for this game that definitely should be free considering how little there really is in the base game for the price.
First off, I'd like to start off by noting how incredibly accurate the paint physics are on the canvas. Paint moves the way it's supposed to. However, the brushes are really cartoony and there aren't a lot of brushes that I wish were in it. No fan brush, no one inch bristle brush, no filbert, Controls are also kinda buggy.
yeah 20 bucks for like 2 brushes not worth it
I love it but my only complain is how you move around, it doesn't feel smooth and its rough, there is no option to change it beside the angle of turning. So if you're like me and play a lot of games like vrchat where you can just use the analogs to move and turn smoothly, it will be frustrating to get use to it.
This game seems like it would be fun to play if only the lagginess would go away I’ll love to play but anytime I play I start feeling not the best because of the lagginess gaving me Motion sickness and I’ll tell you I don’t get it in any other Vr game so please for the love of god craters please fix that maybe add a Setting that fixes that please please ok so I don’t want to have a bad rating but I don’t want to have a good so I’ll have to go with a bad one till someone can till me how to fix the lagging this in this game
extremely laggy these pasts few updates.... unplayable .. but i keep coming back thinking its gonna be fixed
My wife likes this game. If you have a wife, and want them to like painting in VR...they probably will.
This was the first Art game I tried on Quest 2, when it was in the App Lab (most of my hours are on Quest 2 standalone). I absolutely loved the way the mechanics made it feel like real brushes and real paint. I did play this game a bunch years ago on stand alone and eventually bought it on PC. My favourite parts about the game itself is: that there is a built-in browser, which is perfect as tabbing out of the game to find references was a bit frustrating; realistic painting styles/customizable brush settings; and canvas sizing. This game also isn't super complicated for new users, would DEFINTIELY recommend.
