About
You are the Nomad — an elder vampire awakening from a century-long slumber, new to the modern nights. Trapped in your Blood is a stranger’s voice. This entity, a vampire detective known as Fabien, will be your guide to 21st-century Seattle. You will explore the city through his eyes as well as those of the Nomad, as you revisit a cold case from a hundred years ago that is threatening undead and mortal society alike.
Hunt your way through a modern-night Seattle on the brink of an open supernatural war in Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2, where visceral vampire action meets a neo-noir murder mystery. Navigate the vampire Court of Seattle and its dark underbelly in this action RPG, realized by the BAFTA award-winning studio The Chinese Room.

Blood sustains you and empowers your vampiric Disciplines. You’ll stalk and feed on the city’s population at night. Use your supernatural powers or raw persuasion on unsuspecting mortals to lure them into dark alleys and slake your Hunger. However, be cautious about breaking the Masquerade: revealing your true nature risks reprisals, starting with law enforcement and escalating from there. Remember, you are not the only creature that goes bump in the night.
Experience immersive, visceral combat that rewards various playstyles and approaches based on your choice of vampire clan. Will you engage in close combat with supernatural strength, attack from a distance with blood sorcery, or silently thin the herd like the apex predator you are? Your clan choice will support these playstyles and more.

Enter the World of Darkness and rise through vampire society or rail against it. Experience Seattle - a city full of alluring, dangerous characters and factions, not to mention the mortals at stake in the clash of powers beyond their knowing. In this sequel to the cult classic, your choices, plots, and schemes will determine the balance of power and what becomes of the city and its people.

First of, if you're wondering: I have played this game longer than the 5 hours listed here. But I had technical difficulties, so I had to run it without steam. After my first playthrough I have some things to say: 1. Since my pc didn't reach the requirements of the game, I had some problems getting it to run. It crashed at weird intervals from the game itself, sometimes didn't load properly and was overall a technical pain. When I got it running, it run quiet smooth with medium to low settings and still looked nice. 2. I am a real fan of the world of darkness and was an absolute fan of the first bloodlines, which I finished once with each clan. It was such a blast having so many options on how to finish particular quests, with stealth, hacking, dialogue, disciplines or plain combat. I also really enjoyed the roleplay aspect of it. After all the negative reviews I didn't expect much from bloodlines 2. It didn't have all these options for different quest completion. You can only choose your disciplines, not your other skills. The many dialogues make it roleplay-like, but the story is quiet linear. That said, the story is really, really good. I really felt immersed in the world of darkness. It has great characters, lots of plot twists and two really interesting main protagonists. I really enjoyed playing through the story. I even finished most of the side quests. It is not like bloodlines 1, but it is a great world of darkness game. 3. I liked the split gameplay, with Phyre having lots of fights/sneaking and Fabien having lots of detective work to do, which is, giving his Malkavian Blood, always good for a laugh. I would even say I liked the Fabien part a bit better, because it was mainly story and this is where this game shines in my opinion. 4. For all the waiting for this game, the different iterations it went through, the change of the studio even, this game went through development hell. For that it is really good. It is not like bloodlines 1, but it is a great, action-packed world of darkness game, with a lot to love. I would say: give it a chance, when it is on sale. If you have the right hardware, and if you like vampire the masquerade and you don't expect bloodlines 1, you should have a great time.
It takes you so much by the hand there's no point in investigating anything. Also not a fan of NO CHARACTER CREATION. Why are the disciplines already at superior level? I feel the creatures don't even know the rules very well. Or the setting.
Is Bloodlines 2 a good RPG? No. Is it a good sequel to Bloodlines 1? Also no. Is Bloodlines 2 a good game? I don't have an answer to that. Do I find it damn charming? I kinda do. If you are going to play this game you need to understand that Bloodlines 2 is a mix of three games. The first was a terrible action game trying to be a modern dishonored without anything that made that game good. The second is what could be salvaged from the first iteration of the game, and it is a barebones in gameplay and is at the time of writing still being updated post launch. This second game has a fairly good (but linear and unchanging) story, a surprisingly engaging combat system and enough meat for me to consider a second playthrough and certainly enough to make me play the DLC. The third game is a series of flashbacks that, I kid you not, got me to play the game through the second act instead of dropping it. These flashbacks are effectively playable cutscenes but they are the emotional core of Bloodlines 2 and damn if Fabian (closely followed by most of the cast of the '20s Court) isn't my favourite character to come out of this game! Bloodlines 2 wont be the next Cyberpunk 2077, but it is a game with promise. Maybe there will be updates that address peoples VALID criticisms and concerns about the game in the future. But as it is, I would say that bloodlines 2 is a game that is worth a chance because you may end up loving your time with it. I know I did
A great game in terms of scenario and intrigue. I was put off at the start with the fighting system and mechanics having expected one similar to the first one but once you've gotten along it it is a blast. Doing the side quests and being able to unlock most of the abilities made it really cool and enjoyable. Definitrely recommend when looking for a solid story with a great ambiance in Seattle streets, even though a bit more variety in the environments would have been nice.
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ the lag. Also, I got locked out of a room and had to restart a checkpoint. Very confusing, lack of direction in the tutorial too. And, it's too similar to Batman games.
