A mediocre game inspired by Magic Survival. It neither improves upon the original, nor makes the gameplay different enough to stand on its own. No idea why it became so popular. If cheap enough, it may be worth buying to play a few maps until you get bored, unless you're a completionist in which case I definitely don't recommend this game because they keep adding grindy achievements so you'll have to suffer the repetitive gameplay once in a while to stay at 100% completion. In theory, there are more characters and maps than I care to count, but in practice they all feel the same. Yeah, some characters do have their own gimmicks, but by the time you unlock them you most likely already know the broken combo which just plays itself until game performance becomes the bottleneck and there is little reason to use anything else no matter which character you choose. I can think of two good things in this game: - The secrets are somewhat fun to discover initially (but it gets old after a few maps) - There is co-op now, which I haven't tried too much because it wasn't there when I first achieved 100% completion; I guess it can be fun, although there are probably better co-op games of this type Oh, and just in case you haven't realised: contrary to the tags it's definitely not a roguelike. As for "action roguelike", if we consider Diablo 1 and 2 to represent that hybrid genre, then this is more like "minimalistic action roguelite" (there is no permadeath, not even optional). "Arena survival" describes it much better.

this is basically the pinnacle of roguelike games, and don't be deceived when you first start playing as the game is also incremental and you unlock MORE and MORE and MORE and MORE and MORE and MORE content as you play, there is tons of content and systems that you don't even see at the beginning of the game, it just is chock full of fun content and it is actually FUN! get it now
