For the price, this game is ok. This game's concept has some serious potential, and its focus on VR as a medium is great, as it allows for quick references to documents in the tower itself (without, say, another window opening and closing on a monitor somewhere) and information that is shown to the player on displays in the environment. It's actually already somewhat immersive, even if oversimplified. The problems, however, are plentiful. Some are simply due to implementation, some are fundamental problems with the game's understanding of some concepts. They are also present within the first 20 minutes of play. Implementation issues/surface level bugs:

Aircraft animations need some serious work. Taxing aircraft have seemingly 2 speeds: stopped, and 40 knots. Landing aircraft pitch up and down violently. Seriously breaks immersion
Aircraft can get stuck on the runway, ending your session.
Numerous typos in the script cause words to be misstated or completely garbled by the AI. One that comes to mind is that clearance always says "as filled" rather than "as filed." It's mostly small stuff, but ya notice it and it breaks the immersion.
No career mode or anything really of substance yet. I played through both tutorials and the test mission in about 30 minutes.
Problems with systems entirely:

Flight strips are good! They just need to be in separate columns or otherwise organized. As of right now, no matter what stage a flight is in, the flight strip is one of many in a single list. I think a good way to fix this would be to give at least a couple different categories (either a simple "Departing and Arriving", or a full "clearance, ground, tower, approach, and departure" stack with handoffs between them)
Radios really need to be split between each phase of the flight. Especially if the devs have any intention of expanding the airport or adding additional airports. I think players are going to find increased rates of traffic troublesome simply due to how long clearance takes to process.
The approach display is basically unreadable. A better style would probably keep the airport centered, and map the LOC and/or GS for the active. I actually found myself relying on physically spotting aircraft in the pattern vs. using the display because it wasn't giving useful information.
This game has some potential, and I hope the devs take some time to flesh this out a bit. I also think it's possible to add some more complexity/organization to the game without overcomplicating it for new players. As of right now, the game's only $4, so it's worth it. Just beware that it's a diamond in the rough.
There is potential but it is currently horribly crude and unfinished I would recommend to wait.
I picked up this gem during the Steam VR sale. In the game's current Early Access state, picking it up on special is a fantastic deal. I really love ATC games, but I've often struggled to understand the airports in which most of these games are set. In this game, however, whether it is because of the unique VR perspective or the devs clever judgement, there are enough clues laying around the ATC room that I actually feel that I have an understanding of the airport. Most of the reviews here are quite out of date, and a lot seems to have changed due to the devs releasing numerous updates. There are no "janky" animations; the planes move smoothly. My only criticism of the game is that there's not yet enough of it. The two career missions are essentially identical, landing two planes and directing two other planes to take off, all the while also having to think about ground movements in and around your airport. There's no stressful sense of "pushing tin" or having to deal with flight schedules and keeping flights on time. But this is still Early Access and I'm sure such missions will likely be forthcoming in the future.
Update This game is so awesome do your self a favour and get it, support this awesome developer So much fun and getting better and better with each update, a fantastic developer who listens and is passionate about making this great, after suggesting a traffic slider, bang its in there in the next update, this has made the game go from chaotic to manageable, this was much needed because its not normal to handle both ground and tower at the same time and does not happen at busy airports in the real world, this is my go to game combine with with Feelthere Tower 3 and I am fully covered with tower in pancake and VR This game is really fun and the developer is very genuine and responsive, once there are more challenges, traffic density slider and some refinements particularly to the airborne radar this game will be a big hit, well done
This is what VR was made for. Sims such as this. Truly one of the reasons I bought into VR was to play games such as this. I truly hope the makers of this game are using this as an experiment into how to make great VR games, and some day create a larger game like this, with more airports and different control towers. Simply fantastic guys! 10 out of 10.
This VR Air Traffic Controller game has completely won me over. It’s well-constructed and offers impressive graphics even as an Early Access title. The gameplay mode is challenging and realistic. I look forward to more updates and am especially hopeful that support for the German language will be added soon to make the experience even more accessible. A promising game that showcases the possibilities within the world of VR simulations!
Great game! For early access, this game has a lot to offer. I've been looking for an immersive and in-the-scene ATC game for a while, and this hits the spot. Very simplistic to learn, phraseology is mostly accurate, and behaviors are pretty spot on. If I were to recommend anything, here's what I would recommend. Firstly, for small items, I would recommend opening up control of the lighting systems for more customization and feeling more in-control. Along with this, more realistic aircraft models, taxi speeds, and the ability for aircraft to toggle on-off strobe lights after TO/LDG would be a small yet realistic addition. A stretch goal would be to test voice commands. If this game were to eventually let players give commands audibly through their headset, this would take the cake, hands down. This can be hard to implement, but I will say that after repetitively having to go back to the same box and click over and over again, it can get monotonous. Another note - the binos are only keyed to one eye. If you pick it up in VR, only one eye is in focus, so i found myself closing my left eye every time. Would be a nice fix if it could take both eyes into account, but very minor thing. As of right now, this game does feel like a $6.99 game. Add a bit more customization and complete the new weather modes and I would pay $9.99. Personally, I'm a sucker for more realistic games, so if the UI were made more realistic, I'd go up another $5. I would recommend this game - but only as a time-killer right now. Excited to see how this progresses!
The only and the best Air traffic control for VR out there, still in early access, but very fun to play. If you are in to ATC simulation, give this one a go.
The game is quite entertaining; if you're hesitating, buy it! It's really good despite being in beta. It has several types of aircraft, and the communications are quite realistic. Plus, for this price, you can't ask for much more. Some things I would modify or add in the future: more airports (so having more runways makes the game more complex), more variety of aircraft (including cargo planes with designated sectors at the airport, larger planes, etc.), and lastly, though I doubt it's possible, I would add the option of voice commands (I know it's much more complex, but perhaps with AI assistance it would be easier). That's all; play it, I recommend it!
Not a bad experience for the price. its very limited compared to other ATC sims out there but it looks nice, plays nice and is fun to see the view from up there. Will check it out when more content gets added.
