Amis français, si vous avez aimé le premier opus ... N'achetez pas le second. Le fait qu'il n'y ai pas de version française détruit complètement le jeu. Donc conseil : attendez une MAJ linguistique ou jouer à "Use your words".

Before starting to write this review, I originally purchased the original Use Your Words (on Wii U initially then Steam) and was a fan of the creator behind these games, Brentalfloss (still a fan of his of course!), however this game feels like a lessened version of the original. I liked the original game because it introduced new ways of gameplay that you couldn't get from games like Jackbox , and they nailed that! They include features like a afk timer, mid-joining/leaving and a kick feature - which Jackbox doesn't have arguably enough for a party game, these are great- However, my main issues stem primarily in it's pacing. The game feels drawn out and while they do attempt to introduce new, fresh ways of their own formula like subtitling new kinds of headlines and mediums, it just doesn't land with any of the friends I played the original Use Your Words with. I don't fully think this is the developers fault as it's sometimes likened to games like Rifftrax, but comparing this to it's original - this is just Use Your Words again with filler. If you like Use Your Words compared to Rifftrax and other games likened to it, support the developers as-is, or really like to collect all the party games for your friends (or yourself I don't judge) , go for it. I truly think the right group could still enjoy this kind of sequel- it just wasn't the one for me.

I was a backer for this game, so I had high hopes. I loved the original, but I have to be honest, this feels incredibly rushed and kind of underwhelming. It feels more like an expansion pack for the first game than a sequel. The old game modes are still here and completely unchanged, and the new game modes aren't that interesting and are basically just the old games with a different skin. I guess if you don't already own the first game, this IS the one you should get. But if you already own the original, I would wait for a sale.

This is one of my favorite original party games! I love part 2 just as much as I did part 1. I'm sad they did not advertise it properly and do the game the justice the original had, but maybe it was a word of mouth strategy so people with unreasonable expectation don't rate it poorly. I am confused about it tbh. If you are a streamer who loves party games, hopefully you can help spread the word of this game for folks to enjoy it around the world from home to streams on Twitch/Kick/Youtube or wherever else you like to play games! Only the host needs to buy it and everyone plays on their browser.

Fun but feels like an addon to the first one, not worth the price. Some of the new games aren't as good as in the first versions also. But what really turned this into a negative review for me is the unfathomable amount of [b] undisclosed use of AI generated content [/b] everywhere in this game. Book covers, backgrounds, I'm pretty sure the voice over is AI and the translations may be as well! Even the store page, look at the v1.1 description. Literal slop game. Not to mention visible AI use should be disclosed on the Steam Store page and therefore, I'm pretty sure this game is violating the TOS.

If you played the first one - it's the same, but with more spice. Pretty fun. Had some good laughs with friends. Tho, it did disconnect us from the game twice with an error code -1 But still great. Maybe wait for sale.

I told a group of friends I play Jackbox games that we should try this game, and we did. And now they can't stop asking for it again and again! It's a refreshing take on the well-known social party games, but all in quick succession. Think Quiplash and Rifftrax and Mad Libs and many more games but back-to-back in a lightning round of chaos and hilarity. It does have its own original ideas and style, with great opportunities for you and your friends to be hilarious every single time. Definitely a worthy addition to any party game rotation with lots of fun and a LOT of laughs.
