What The Dub?!

Thought of a funny punchline for a clip, meanwhile my friend just spammed fart sound effects. Everyone voted for my friend. 10/10

this game made me laugh so much. but i'm sad now because nobody i know wants to play it anymore. this is a cry for help. someone ask me to play

Having workshop support in this game makes the experience so much better.

If my group had to rebuild the lobby for any reason (such as the game crashing, which happened in 1 of the 2 games our group played), some of us could not connect to the new lobby. It would just say "connecting" indefinitely and never actually load. We switched to the Rifftrax game (also made by Wide Right Interactive) and it did the exact same thing after our first game. We tried wifi and our phones' network plans, cleared cache and cookies on our browsers, restarted my phone, restarted my steam deck that we were playing on, rebuilt the room several times, and still we received the same issue with it sayiing "connecting" indefinitely. We wound up just playing some jackbox games since they actually work. Terribly disappointing for a game that costs $8.

Only had one session with this and I honestly can’t remember the last time I nearly died from laughter. I’m a total sucker for subtitling movies in languages I don’t understand, so this felt instantly familiar, but here you’re dubbing over parts of English-language movie clips instead, with the added twist of throwing in some pre-existing SFX. Absolutely love it and can’t recommend it enough… assuming you have friends, of course. If not, well ... sad.

While the concept is fun and the results got some laughs with those I played with, it lacks the polish the similar Jackbox games have. The game would sometimes kick us out for no apparent reason when a Jackbox title would not. Additionally, the inability to actually record some lines and have them play back over a clip keeps this as a decent game you may play 2-3 times rather than the party game classic it has the potential to be.

If you love similar games to Jackbox, you'll love What The Dub! Hilarious to play with friends, will have you cry-laughing every time.
