Toxic community made me not want to play the game. I regret letting such notions prevent me from experiencing how amazing this game is. It's rather short, but every moment is basically perfect. (I only have as many hours as I do because it took me a decade to actually go through with getting the true pacifist ending). The characters are endlessly charming and fun, the world is gorgeous, with the limited palette and artstyle somehow being more evocative than a more complicated art style ever could have been. The battle system is very fun, though it really isn't utilized to it's fullest (not that I'm actually complaining... the battles are already a decent challenge, any more difficulty and the story would have been watered down by constant resets to do battles again). The story is enrapturing, even without the side characters. I can't even bring myself to do the Genocide ending because I don't want to kill these characters and world I came to love. Might even buy Deltarune, now that I understand the genius of the game and it's story, and have stopped letting nonsense stop me from enjoying this series.
