This game is an absolute joke. I’ve never had a worse working experience as main character in my entire career than working with this “developer”. These brain-dead dimwits should be banished of the planet Earth for a mere fact that they make games of this quality. The way they treat main characters and NPCs is illegal. We are all prisoners in here. If by any chance someone is reading this, please send us help. I’m not kidding. Sincerely, Bedford
For full transparency, I refunded Welcome to Bummertown, but my final conclusion is that it is a fairly well made short experience with some great dark humor. I was actually really enamored with the artwork right off the bat, but the fetch-quest is too strong in this one. Again, it doesn't really do anything wrong, but the core gameplay is a bit bland. I really did enjoy the humor, although the dialogue gets a little long-winded at times. Pros: +Good price point +The artwork is quite something; I love how it mixes crisp pixel art with photo realism +The humor is great Meh: =The minigame puzzles such as the sokoban, logic, and sliding picture puzzles could just as soon be left out for me; it's just overly standard stuff Cons: -The whole thing is a series of fetch quests and it isn't well hidden -I don't know, it never rose above 'mildly fun' -I wanted it to go full dark like Pony Island, but I was 3/4ths of the way through the game and the weirdness you got out of the gate never escalated -D-pad doesn't work on the controller unless you mess with bindings, and so that meant I had to use the keyboard for several of the puzzles (really, both the stick and d-pad should work to get the best controller support) Sure, it's interesting enough to spend an afternoon with, but I think it could have gone a bit further and strayed from standard mechanics.

Cute little game. Short, but cute. Your typical fetch quest game, but cleverly done with some funny details thrown in the background to keep it from being too boring. Worth $5? Eh. But it was fun an enoyable while it lasted. Will I play it again? Probably not, as there aren't multiple endings or achievments to unlock. Just a very straightline game that's hilariously aware that it sucks.
I really enjoyed this game and I'm not someone who typically likes adventure games. I thought the characters were funny and the gameplay was mostly interesting. When it wasn't, the game dev's were aware and made a joke of it. I feel like it was a bit expensive for the amount of time it took to beat it. (2.5 hours) but I enjoyed it so money well spent anyway!
That was pretty cute, haha! Very enjoyed.
非常异于同类游戏的解密向游戏,感觉自己就像上帝一样自己继续创造游戏的剧情,和NPC交流,还要从他们手里获得线索,去找到那个你需要达成的目标。创意值得肯定,只是—— It'll be better to have a Chinese translation!
Tries to be funny.
I wasted two hours of my life on this game. Don't be like me, skip it. Seriously, Welcome To Bummertown has at a glance a bit of charm, but its a stew of snark and corn that has you continually run from one end to the other, solve bitty puzzles and frankly finish the game BORED. Even at a discount I cannot recommend you buy this one. Can't even say A for effort on it.
Puzzles are brain-dead easy, jokes fall flat, nothing interesting happens
This is one of the games of all time.
