Umineko When They Cry - Question Arcs

This story is fantastic. I wholeheartedly recommend it. BUT I recommend you buy this (and the answer arcs) and then proceed to either 1. get a copy of and emulate the switch version with the catbox patch, or, 2. google "Umineko Project" and play the game that way. This game is very good, but, the release is very old (it says 2016 but it's a compilation of games made on a tight budget in '07-'08) and there are features that have been added in later releases such as lip-syncing for the Voices and better backlog support as well as many other QOL features that make it run splendidly and make the entire experience much more enjoyable. This version of the story is still good, but it is not the best way to play it. However, in english, it's the only way to support the company, so please, buy the games to support the devs and then experience them in the optimal way with either the umineko catbox patch for the switch release, and if that's too much of a hassle then at least play the umineko project. There is also a new project in the works, concerto of the golden witch, which should be the ultimate way to play this game natively on pc.... eventually. But it won't be ready for a good while, so if you can't wait follow the above advice. If you absolutely don't want to play UP or Catbox, and only want to play this version, then at the bare minimum install the 07th project mod for it, because it adds many things like the ps3 art or the original art. The manga gamer sprites make the game have a completely different feeling to it and are my least favorite. Even 07th recommends playing it another way though, but, if you're gonna play this version you need to install 07th to avoid a memory leak bug.

Безусловно, "Цикады" - это отлично прописанная история с живыми персонажами, но она абсолютно линейна, даже при [spoiler]концепции временной петли.[/spoiler] После прочтения не остаётся никаких вопросов. А в "Чайках" реализован совершенно уникальный метод повествования, где [spoiler]персонажи и события являются воплощением идей и метафор.[/spoiler] Ryukishi07 старается, насколько это возможно, раздвинуть границы того, как вообще можно писать историю. Понравилось то, как филигранно здесь используются аниме-клише; как игра буквально переосмысливает детективный жанр и вертит им как хочет, но при этом продолжает придерживаться его ключевых основ; как она почти всегда безошибочно угадывает мысли читателя и активно троллит его по этому поводу. Новелла постоянно заставляет тебя думать, и много времени у меня ушло не на само чтение, а на выстраивание вместе с главным героем версий преступлений. В музыкальном плане это масштабный совместный проект лучших инди-композиторов Японии того времени. Саундтрек насчитывает более 200 треков и длится около 12 часов, и в нём собрано огромное количество самых разных жанров и стилей. Поэтому не удивительно, что музыка и песни здесь настолько прекрасны. Начало может показаться медленным, но в последствии вы не сможете оторваться от чтения. Наслаждайтесь этой историей и ничего себе не спойлерите. Вы больше никогда не прочитаете ничего подобного. Советую играть через Umineko Project, установка муторная, но оно того стоит. Получите возможность насладиться талантливой озвучкой, а также высококачественными спрайтами, фонами и иллюстрациями.

Amazing story and characters. Ryukishi07 is a genius. This visual novel is a masterpiece. PLAY WITH THE 07TH MOD. The base version of the game isn't the best please play it moded. Must read for visual novel and anime fans or anyone who loves a good story. Warning it is incredibly long with scenes of gore and child abuse that are hard to sit through. No gore is shown on screen however it is described in great detail
