At first, I was going to put a recommendation for this B-grade game. It has okay asset-based graphics, an okay story from Nier Automata, and a pretty solid battle system straight from DMC4. But during the final parts, specifically the 3rd maze with Atlas as the final boss, it got extremely frustrating. Atlas is a difficult boss, and the fact that you need to go through the whole labyrinth with tough enemies is tiring and depressing. Also, the achievements stopped working during Atlas's tries, so this goes for the second frustrating fact. Although, unlike Atlas, Deucalion was a much better boss and overall the conclusion of the story with potential continuation was okay, those two facts really turned the tide to the Not Recommend category. There are better slashers, not made of assets, that you can find.

I would recommend you spend your money elsewhere. But if you need more convincing, please consider watching my video review: https://youtu.be/vj2z3gSii04
My first impressions of this game were "It looks a little dated.", but I quickly came to appreciate its charm. The story grabbed me, and while it was rather simplistic, I think it used that to its advantage. Gameplay was actually really solid. Your combat moves were fun, plenty of upgrades to get, and the enemies were pretty much a constant challenge. The only real problem I had in particular were respawn points. The one before you end up fighting the second last boss was overly punishing. You had to do a dungeon first, THEN fight the boss, and each time you died to the boss you had to do the entire dungeon again. Just not fun to have to rerun that entire section over and over until you learned how to beat the boss. The final boss was really challenging for me. So much so that I had to bump the game difficulty down to easy to get him. The game length was honestly just right for the type of game it was. It didn't drag on too much. It honestly gives me a little bit of nostalgia of an era of gaming that has since past. I played a lot of Devil May Cry growing up, and I can feel a lot of that in this game. Give this one a shot, you might just be pleasantly surprised like I was.
pretty good, will definitely keep an eye on the devs future games.
This game ends up being one of those scrappy action games that grows on you, and coming back to it a second time especially after first playing on PS5, it really does feel like it’s been polished up more than you expected. The third person hack and slash action gameplay is fun and tight with some comparisons mechanics I can compare to DMC. Combat felt swift, dodge mechanic feels very natural and felt very inspired in DMC/Bayonetta in its elements. The graphics look sharper, the combat flows better, and the whole thing gives off a low‑key remaster vibe even though it isn’t one. It still leans heavily into that old‑school story structure; straightforward, simple, and not exactly memorable, with voice acting that I might not even recall being there the first time around. The narrative isn’t what carries the experience, but the improved gameplay and presentation make it a surprisingly enjoyable return trip for anyone who appreciates a fast, stylish action title that doesn’t pretend to be more than it is. *6/10*
