UFO 50 is a collection of 50 single and multiplayer games that span a variety of genres, from platformers and shoot 'em ups to puzzle games, roguelites, and RPGs. Our goal is to combine a familiar 8-bit aesthetic with new ideas and modern game design.

Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.57/day in the week to Aug 28 → 2/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

the fact that it exists is too amazing i just connected it to a CRT and it's like i'm back to childhood, half a hundred games you know nothing about except all of these games are new, and ready for you to discover some games are brutal, some seem to be more or less modern-ish in design
Half of the games in this are kind of mid at best, but... that still leaves the other half, which makes for 20+ small but reasonably complete and most importantly fun and creative games. Seems like a good deal to me. Barbuta in particular really grew on me.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 22: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

The fact that every game in this collection feels complete, well made, and unique not only within the collection but within the whole gaming sphere is something of a source of awe for me. Not only that, every game's controls feel intuitive and ergonomic while only utilizing a D-pad and two buttons. Seriously impressive.
Honestly this game could have it's own handheld and still be completely worth it. I was sceptical of these games "not being simple minigames" and still half expected something you'd get on a bootleg 1000 in 1 console you'd find next to Nibe shoes and Apipas sweatpants, but they were not lying when they said these are complete experiences. That said it's still very much retro with both good and bad. As someone born after the turn of the millennium I have no nostalgia for games from the era this tries to replicate, but from my limited experience this is a pretty faithful imitation. That does however mean some games are pretty ruthless and unforgiving, as well as it taking a bit to even comprehend what you're supposed to do. Once you do however you'll find out just how much each game has to offer. Of course not all games will be everyone's cup of tea, especially with how many genres they cover, but even games I personally wasn't much interested in managed to hook me in more than I thought, even if I'm still bad at them. For me the biggest appeal is the simple exploration. Due to my ADHD I didn't stick with many games for long, but going thru them one by one curious what each has to offer. Even after going all 50 of them and spent over 30 hours playing I still feel like for most of them I only scratched the surface and the only thing stopping me from going deeper is my decision paralysis. My one issue is that it can feel like although no game lacks in depth, some can lack a bit in content. I think this is just the side effects of the games being so fun I want more of them, but several times I've felt like the game has many mechanics while being too short to explore all of them properly. The best example of this is my favorite game Avianos. A 1v1 conquest strategy game with so many details, yet the maps you experience the details on tend to feel a bit restrictive and the matches end quite fast most of the time. Once again this is just me loving the game so I want more of it. But I can imagine this being scaled up to much larger maps with even more players with very little change to the mechanics. Overall I think this is an amazing experience for everyone. A bit hard to put into words with how varied each game is, but so worth the money with the amount of content. I would however recommend giving even more money to the devs and get UFO Companion guide book as it makes many of the games much easier to get into.

I feel like I'm certainly going to be one of the rare people that didn't find a single game they really enjoyed out of the 50 titles here.. The game's at a great price. There's a ton of variety. Unfortunately none of the games clicked with me. Despite each one being a full game in their own right, they could only keep my interest for a few minutes. It's like Action 52, but only moderately better.
A stunning collection of creativity made by a very talented group of developers that will make you feel like you're discovering video games for the first time. The local multiplayer games alone make it worth the asking price (which work pretty seamlessly over steam remote play). It's mind-boggling that this collection even exists, it really feels like a historic achievement. I can't imagine we'll see something like this again, at least not for a very long time. If you ever feel like you've lost your excitement for video games, you should play UFO 50.
UFO 50 is a brilliant idea, another Action 52 style game? Why not. Everything about this game is clearly crafted with love and care and I commend the devs for taking on a behemoth of a project like this. Unfortunately, though, as this is a throwback to the NES style of games, you are going to be sifting through a lot of crap. I'm not old enough to have grown up with the NES, so these games do nothing for me but frustrate me to no end due to either being boring and mundane, or are just utter and complete ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in difficulty. Do I personally recommend it myself? No. Do I recommend it to people who like this kind of thing? Absolutely, but do understand before purchasing that there are a LOT of duds in this package that fall flat due to horrible control, slow and clunky gameplay, stuff you'd expect from the NES era of games. I understand why people like this title, but it just isn't for me.
This is a collection that features 50 unique, retro games for a console that doesn't exist. Every game has an old school feel but with modern sensibilities. There are puzzle games, adventure games, strategy games, and really anything else you can think of. Each one of them does a great job of rewarding your time as you gain the skills needed to beat it. There is no doubt that even if you only enjoy a few parts of this package, it is well worth the money. In my opinion though, all 50 games are pretty spectacular and getting the Cherry on each one has been one of my proudest gaming achievements. Definitely better than Action 52...
