Nice short shooter campaign - the end is.. not optimal but to be expected. For this money a nice FPS to play in one or two sittings.
Very good experience for the price
Solid game 7/10. If you like Bioshock I would recommend playing it.

Fun little quirky shooter
Good game but short....4.1 hours of short. For something that is a first attempt in the genre by Atmos I can say It's a very good start. But It IS hard to justify a 15 arguably 17$ pricetag with tax when it goes off sale. I also have complaints that during every combat encounter IE the "Kill all the enmies" section so you can proceed Mr.Twister uses the same line....I heard that line enough that it became kind of painful which shows worse in a game so short. Arguably just add a bit of flare or change the voicelines. Not sure if thats difficult...Not really knowledgable about programming but I would reccomend that change as it does show the games sort of rushed feel. I do enjoy the visuals. I like the niche of some big-top-bioshock but there are no plasmids. It's just the weapons if we use that analogy. Game is good. If it gets DLC I will probably get it but for some they might find it a bit lacking for its asking price being that some indies can hold far more value for less. I can say however that it does have the benefit of being rather punchy in the gunfeel so that was done marvelously. I would also like to give kudos to the devs for all their hard work but please....Why is the girls photo in the death screen like 980x720 with just a black background? At least add some color texture or something. Does make it feel a bit poor... Basically just throw in some better voicelines for post-combat congratulations by Twister, fix the death screen, and maybe tweak some of the "Secret areas" to be more than just a few tickets? Like add dancing enemies or some weird Mr. Twister collage of blood or a joke doodle of the protag. I have played worse. I did enjoy it...But it's too arguably light for this cost. I would say maybe shave off 5$ or wait til it goes on a proper sale.

His final exam is right around the corner, but studying has become quite difficult because he is caring for his sister, who is suffering from schizophrenia, especially at night. He also has the care of his nephew, who, in turn, is quite traumatised by his mother's illness. It's a tough gig for Vincent, because he too has a disability. He has short-term memory loss; even his mother nicknamed him "Goldfish ". But he fell in love with Charlotte, his evicted neighbour who now lives with him. On a special night, he proposed to Charlotte while watching his favourite movie, Twisted Tower, at a drive-in theatre. But the next morning, he found out that Mr Twister had abducted Charlotte, and the only way to save her is to go to Mr Twister's abandoned theme park and get to the top of the Twisted Tower! Twisted Tower is a first-person action game with a skosh of eerie atmosphere, developed by Atmos Games and published by 3D Realms on the 19th of August 2026 on the Steam platform. The game has also been verified for the Steam Deck. The game is strongly inspired by the game BioShock in terms of the feel of the setting and the gameplay, but really hits home when you upgrade your weapons or purchase ammunition from the vendor machines scattered around the levels. The game consists of five levels plus the lobby, which Vincent will revisit several times. The levels are accessed via the elevator, but they must be unlocked first, which is done by collecting specific floor tickets. Then each level has a few areas to unlock, achieved by collecting specific colour keys until you reach the elevator ticket, or seal coins to open another door in the lobby. At the start of the game, there are some areas that you won't be able to access straightaway in the lobby until you get the grapple, the jumping boots (double and high jumps) and the jetpack. There are plenty of small items scattered throughout the levels, such as French fries, hot dogs, hamburgers, ice cream, and more, to revitalise Vincent's health when consumed. Other items to find include small ammunition patches for weapons and plenty of prize tickets, which are the prime items for upgrading Vincent's weapons or purchasing ammunition at the vendor machines. These tickets come in packs of five, fifty or a hundred. Make sure you check all the rubbish bins and cabinets, as well as the dead mascots on the ground, as they might have some goods on or in them. The other thing I like about the level is that a lot of things can be destroyed. All the levels are of medium length and very well designed. Vincent will find a mallet for his first weapon when arriving at the abandoned park to defend himself against the evil minion mascots of Mr Twister. As you progress through the game, Vincent will access another nine funny weapons, each with a primary and secondary attack. I really enjoyed some of these, my favourites being the Marble Magnum, Bubble Gun Chaingun and the Sling Snipe. Not only do they look funny, but they are effective too. What I really appreciate is that the developer introduced each of the weapons one by one and at the right time, just when you feel you might need a new arm to get through an area. The developer really thought hard about how to make each level balanced, not only in terms of gameplay, but also level design and difficulty. I must say that there are a small number of different enemies in this game, and to be fair, it is quite adequate for an indie game, although I would have liked a bit more variation. However, they all have their own attacks, and it is a lot of fun, as they usually come in groups of different enemy types. I particularly like the locked-down phases when several waves come towards Vincent. The story is quite good and also well thought out. Is it spectacular? No, but it doesn't need to be. It makes sense, and you have a couple of twists with a big unexpected one at the end. There are a few things to point out. Although I really enjoyed the game for its gameplay and level design, it is on the short side of the equation in terms of the length of the game. I finished it in under seven hours. Yes, there is a bit of replayability if you are an achievement hunter or like to replay it on the higher level of difficulty. But if you're not, I think the price is slightly too high. There are a few bugs - not major ones - but nonetheless annoying. I got stuck a few times in the wagon, and that happened especially when I stopped the wagon to get items that I saw while travelling through the ride. I reversed back to the location, jumped out, and when I jumped back in, I got stuck. Thankfully, the game autosaved after clearing an important section within the level, which is a good thing. At some point, you'll need to use Vincent's grapple on a target (blue circle) to reach inaccessible areas; unfortunately, the grapple is not accurate in the sense that if you're aiming at it a mile off (I'm exaggerating here), it will still hit the target. It does affect the difficulty, especially when you have to activate the beacon with a timer for a specific target and get to it as soon as possible. My question is, if it is so easy to hit the target, why have a timer? But my biggest disappointment was the fight with Mr Twister; it was over on the first attempt. I must say, I was surprised. Positives: ~~~~~~~ + Good graphics and soundtrack + Good gameplay and level design + Three levels of difficulty + The story is fun, offers a couple of twists and makes sense + 10 cool and funny weapons + Good in-game encounters, especially in locked-down areas + Achievements and trading cards Negatives: ~~~~~~~~ - I would have liked more enemy varieties - The game is on the short side for the asking price - I encountered a few little issues and one major issue when I got stuck a few times in the wagon - The boss fight was far too easy Despite a few shortcomings, I thoroughly enjoyed my time playing Twisted Tower. If you like BioShock and fast, fluid gameplay, this game is for you. 7/10 Note: This game was not received for free; I purchased it through the Steam store. Any opinions expressed are entirely my own!
honestly i liked the game uptill the very end scene. for the price the game is asking for and only made by one dude its a fun short game that i completed within 4 hours. the story was good and kept the player guessing on who the twister character truly is.... but that ending... man that ending was, well without spoilers, it was wrong in a weird way. overall tho i do recommend the game for people to play and make there own mind up on the ending, but even without the ending the game is fun and has some cool and unique weapons to play with.
HONESTLY BEST INDIE GAME OF 2026. IT SO FUN, THE CONTROLS ARE GOOD, THE GAMEPLAY IS REALLY BALANCED. INCREDIBLE LEVELS, Honestly I just really have a great time with this game. Happy to play new game plus too :)
Definitely exceeded my expectations. It scratched an itch alot of us have been craving since bioshock. There were a few bugs here and there, but otherwise was a solid game. I agree with the reviews here talking about lack of depth in the overall story; i myself was also expecting a more shocking reveal in the end. Given the amount of fun i've had with this relatively short game, I'm excited to see what else these guys can come up with. Ill be looking forward to the next project.
Great game. Probably the closest I've felt in term of aestetic and gunplay to Bioshock 1 and 2. Good enemy variety, great level design. Story was really intriguing too, if predictable and weird with the ending. But yeah, haven't had this much fun with a game in a long, loooong time.
