Reviews
We need more games like this. The immersive sim genre is underserved. While it doesn't have the political/philosophical impact like Bioshock, it does really capture your attention with it's world building and unsettling atmosphere. 9/10
ok i guess? nothing turbo special, quite short too. well priced.
This game is great fun! Checks alot of boxes and reminds me of the best parts of the BioShock series. Puzzles are interesting, combat is varied and the enviroments creepy. What's not to love?

This is the Bioshock-esque game I've been looking for. Systems are not as varied and the run time is much shorter, but the atmosphere/story are top notch and the gameplay is fast and punchy. All for under $20? This one is a steal and VERY deserving of your time.
I'd "lightly" recommend this game. Pros: Great art style Performance is great Story is...interesting, albeit a bit "♥♥♥♥♥♥ up" Music and Voice acting is good Cons Enemy variety and enemy attacks are just meh Guns, while visually appealing, dont really feel all that unique. Upgrading guns is basically just "ammo, damage, and 1 alternate firing mode" Somewhat short; beat it in 6 hours. Overall, i'd still recommend it at its price point. It's a "fine, slightly better than decent" game in my opinion. Nothing revolutionary, but very very solid.
Had this on my radar since the steam next fest demo blew me away a couple years ago. Suffice to say the full release did as well. Probably my favorite indie game of the year.
It's an okay shooter and has a correct price tag. It can be completed in around 4 hours. There is an adventure plus that lets you keep all your guns and upgrades (aside from movement upgrades) and lets you go through a different route. Even on high difficulty it's not too hard, unless you're careless with resources and you struggle with platforming (more towards the last couple of levels it might become a problem, platforming isn't really difficult otherwise). Guns are nothing special within the genre, but some of them have a nice look to fit the atmosphere. They have standard upgrades like more damage, faster reload and more clip capacity. Most of them also have a secondary fire, but I found that, unlike other shooters that offer such a mechanic, I rarely used secondary fire. They aren't bad and certainly have their uses, though. The times I did use it was on guns where I could find more ammo for, and then I kinda forgot about the late game guns and their secondary fire (except for the sniper/katapult). The horror aspect is decent for the first hour or so, but after that it started to get repetitive and I feel like more could've been done there. It's mostly enemies coming out of the wall or out of the dark. Otherwise the atmosphere is just spooky and uneasy feeling, but not very scary. It does have a good sound design though. Guns feel impactful and it helps that enemies have a certain sound when they spawn so that you know what you're up against if you don't see them immediately. Levels are well designed with lots of ways to get more supplies/currency. Once again, nothing super special and very linear, but it gets the job done. There are many notes and tapes to find that add to the story, and are fully voice acted which I didn't expect and is a nice surprise. Overall I recommend it, but don't expect to get a lot of replayability out of it. I liked the story for what it was. It is only around 15 dollars so it's not a huge game (which it doesn't have to be at all). Everything works well, and the gunplay is solid.
Amazing game. The atmosphere, the interactivity, the storytelling... It's so good. Can't remember the last time I was so hooked on a game.
