About

Twilight Memoria: Sun and Moon is a nostalgic RPG about growing up in a seemingly quiet village, one that you soon discover is full of secrets. You play as two inseparable childhood friends: Rucifar Demien, the spirited son of a famous adventurer, and Luna Silver, a prodigy in alchemy.
Instead of idling away your days, you’ll help villagers, take on requests from the village chief, and uncover the strange mysteries unfolding around you. As Rucifar and Luna’s bond deepens, you’ll begin to explore the unfamiliar feelings of first love, a step into a new world of romance, friendship, and self-discovery.
Through heartfelt interactions, meaningful alchemy choices, and a story filled with warmth and wonder, Sun and Moon captures the spirit of childhood adventures, quiet acts of heroism, and the innocence of falling in love for the very first time.

Battle monsters using an Active Time Battle system where every character, including enemies, acts on their own timer. Rucifar fights on the front lines while Luna supports from behind, healing, crafting bombs, and using items mid-battle. You’ll need quick thinking and teamwork to survive, especially since you're just two kids up against dangerous creatures.
Recreate the joy of mixing wild potions as a kid, throwing in whatever you had and hoping for magic. Craft potions, bombs, and quest items using a flexible ingredient system where recipes only list types, like "Liquid" or "Leaf." It’s up to you whether you choose spring water… or monster blood. Every choice affects the outcome, making experimentation part of the adventure!
Help your neighbors and prove your worth by completing requests from the village chief. From gathering materials to investigating strange happenings, each quest deepens your connection to the community.
Grow alongside Rucifar and Luna as they support each other, challenge expectations, and experience the confusing thrill of first love. Strengthen their bond through shared adventures, meaningful choices, and quiet moments.
Why need sword if you have a farmer's sickle!!
Like the description the farmer thought the tool was a knife I mean damn the farmer in this universe were savage, well at least it can slay a lot of monsters so no problem with it.
My Review :

[th]About[/th] [th]Rate[/th]

Art/graphic The environment is a common in RPG games, so I'll review the other. First, let's talk about the UI, the UI was clean, especially in the in game menu which my favorite thus far, it's doesn't have lots of weird effect and weird "pattern" around it, But I didn't really like the clock indicator in this game which it's actually pretty useless, rather than using a 00:00AM format the dev can use a "Half sun image for morning full sun image at noon" you get the point. Especially if the game doesn't have day/night cycle I mean when I was in the tutorial I thought it gonna change but it's actually not. Moving on, let's talk about the character design I don't have a problem with the design choose, they are pretty good, it show their own personality and the emotion of the "Important character" is shown really well so their character have depth. Some of the character thou is out of place? It feels like draw by a different artist the style is kinda changed and didn't fit with the rest I think the dev may tweak it a little bit more to make it better. I forgot the character name but overall it's great ah yeah, there's some bug I will explain later.

Gameplay The Battle System is pretty intreshing, it's not a relaxed rpg you may know it makes you to focus on your character HP and other thing like healing. There's also lots of different content, such as gathering Minigame, potion crafting, etc.

Multiplayer No Multiplayer.

Control kinda awkward at first you may need to take some time to get used to it.

Music or Sound No problem with the music.

Playtime I may update this in the future.

Story The story is not bad I like the character cast in the game though they really have their own depth, the relationship is delivered to the player very well made. The way how they talk each other really showed us what happen to them. I think it's not too bad I won't spoil too much. I think it's a script or plugin error perhaps? Since I tried again and I can only do it twice. I mean before it, I didn't expect that and didn't save the game so I start over.

DLC worth? -No DLC.

My oppinion Well, that's a quite bunch of bug, the story, character and gameplay was already solid there's some small bug you may find. My only complain isn't really the bug, but the balance of the game. You see, I found this kind of problem multiple time in an rpg game project where the mobs or the monster is overpower so much when the dev want to push the player to focus on the gameplay, I mean it's just a random encounter when I tried battle them and see how strong they're I already predict there will be a problem with the later mobs. Right now I'm stuck on the scouting mission where there's like 3 mobs that actually all of them is too powerful I thought it's part of the story like in the tutorial where you can lose at that battle but I was sent to a gameover screen instead. It's just a suggestion thou when you send a bunch of monster you should not make all of them have the same strength, especially with that damage they can give while you only have 1 attacker and one healer, the strategy is kinda unbalance unlike the first mini boss which have a right "level design where 1 strong mob and the rest is weak". May want to grind, but with the current 1-2 only mobs spawn in a map it gonna take some times so yeah that's my only problem with the game.

Recommended? Yes! I played this game on stream. I'm honestly surprised that the game doesn't have any negative reviews because there is actually a lot wrong with this game. The game begins with a poor impression by having the menu music and sound effects very, very low in the mix. RPG Maker devs often worry about the mix due to the engine being considered "loud", and so I wonder if the developer has overcompensated for this stigma. However, result is that after you start a new game, a pre-rendered video is played and the volume is jacked way up. During the movie another huge flaw for an RPG game will begin to become apparent - we'll come back to this. Once the pre-rendered video ends, the volume mixing is returned to being quiet...some times. Various sound effects are still at full volume while everything else is quiet. It's one of the worst audio mixes I have heard in a game and it baffles me how this made it past a play test. Now, in the intro a big problem begins to become even more apparent - especially for an RPG: the dialogue. I assume the original developer is a non-native English speaker due to numerous typos and strange grammar. It is nearly consistent throughout the entire game, rarely going more than 2 message boxes without seeing a typo or grammatical issue. The maps themselves are beautiful, but really static. Everything looks lifeless due to no animation, not even RPG Maker's typical 3 frame animated water. The strange decisions continue into the game play itself. Firstly, the controls are absolutely absurd. It's as if the developer chose random keys on the keyboard. Yes, the developer provides a warning at the start of the game that a controller is recommended, but 1: This isn't a game where that makes sense. Choosing sensible keys for actions could have easily been done, but wasn't. 2: The store page lists the game as partial controller support, which really more implies that keyboard is recommended. You use WASD to move, but also sometimes you use J to activate things, sometimes space. Sometimes you use U or O. Sometimes you can use arrow keys, and sometimes you can't. It's crazy how poorly mapped the controls are and it's made all the worse due to the player being unable to remap the keybindings. This comes ahead in combat. All combat fights are scripted (at least in the beginning, which I was never able to make it past). Enemies hit like a mack truck in the tutorial, and the first boss is so tanky it takes way too many hits to defeat him while he does nearly half my entire health bar. While I am certain I could be the boss if I wanted to, after attempting the boss several times, I got really put off by having to walk to the boss again and re-watch the same cutscene before the boss over and over again. What an archaic design choice. So, rather than go through the walk and cut scene again, I just gave up. Again, it baffles me how this game has no negative reviews. I wonder if anyone has actually beaten the game. If you'd like to watch my experience with your game, I've linked the archive below. JUST COMPLETED. TL;DR 9/10 GAME. This game is good but needs some fixing. Let me describe my playing experience below: Twilight Memoria is an RPG game where you play as two children: Rucifar and Luna, in a fantasy world full of monsters. They play around their village and help other villagers with their monster-hunting and alchemy skills. They either hunt monsters, or craft items to use in battle or to aid them in their quests. It's a heartwarming, everyday life type story where you are not in some big adventure or saving the world, but the game is still very challenging in the battle system and how you survive your quests. UPDATE: THE ENDING WILL STRIKE YOU IN UNEXPECTED WAYS. THIS IS GOOD. The battle system here has a steep learning curve so I think I will give you a few tips when explaining it. The Battle is basically a new variant of Active Time Battle-based system where characters take turns performing their actions and you need to pay attention at who comes next. Here are some key points to survive in battle because you can easily die if you are not careful enough, because you press buttons to perform commands, not selecting it from a menu like most RPGs. -If it's almost the time for the enemy to attack, hold down the guard button. Unguarded attacks that you receive can hurt really bad. -Heal often. This means, you need to go back and forth to that pond at the south of the village (you'll discover soon enough) to gather and craft resources repeatedly. This can get tedious, but trust me, the story progression, even though I'm in early game is rewarding with the cheerful tone of the story and humorous characters. -Always use Luna's potions or explosives when you have the chance, battles here can drain your HP very fast. You have to heal manually after every battle. -Keep track of Rucifar's input buttons because some combos can yield extra hits that can be useful in further damaging the enemy. -Memorize the buttons, which one does what and when to press. This is where it gets tough but you'll get there with a bit of persistence. Rucifar, your scythe-wielding kid fights according to the inputs you give to the directional buttons, such as left-left-right, left-right-right, up-up-right-down, etc. You need to memorize which combo does what, and the game gave you two useful combos in the beginning. You can check it at the menu. Combos do not only yield extra hits, but sometimes they can buff you or debuff the enemy. Luna (the silver-haired girl)'s usefulness depends on what materials you have at the moment. Gather resources as many times as possible, and make items out of them. Learn to discover the depths of the game's crafting system through the element of the items you have, and use them when the situation requires it. As the story progresses, you can improve the output of your items or the element level of your items. They yield extra effects if you mixed the correct materials. Experiment often to yield the best results. Graphics-wise, it's like a PS1 game, but I am fine with that. I'm familiar with old RPGs such as Saga Frontier 2, Lunar, etc. so if you like retro graphics just go for it. The sprites here are neatly drawn, and Rucifar's scythe-twirling, spinning, and slashing movements are well-drawn. I guess when you discover the big combos, he can perform pretty dynamic moves. Let's see how it turns out. The character illustrations are not to my taste, but passable. Rucifar's mom's design is probably the most interesting one here. See for yourself. Ee hee hee hee hee hee heeee. The environments here are good too, with the color harmony checking out between your characters and the background. Music-wise, it's good. Typical JRPG soundtrack and they did a good job with the battle music and the village music. You can't get tired of those themes and that's a plus. I have heard many uninspired OSTs so I was skeptical at first, but this game did well at those tracks. Depth and Gameplay Maybe I am different than most gamers, I like difficult RPGs such as Saga Frontier 2, Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne, and Romancing SaGa growing up, so I can stomach this RPG. Beginners might be intimidated by the steep learning curve to master the battle system, but once you get the hang of it, this game can be very rewarding. Gather Materials-Craft Items- Fight. The gameplay revolves around these three elements, and you need to master it. Believe me, seeing Ruci slicing enemies away with his combos and Luna dealing massive damage with her explosions is so satisfying, provided you know what you're doing. So, get used to this routine. Sadly, the developer's English needs fixing, quite an amount of grammar errors here. I hope they will fix it in a patch sometime in the future.
Another RPG Maker Games! I Love RPG Maker Games. First of all I really love how the developer customize almost every aspect of the game, making it very different than most RPG Maker Games out there. Art wise is "Okay" for me, not really my taste, I am into more mature Anime Style rather than Loli/Cute anime style like this, but everyone has their own taste I guess. The Map is great, really love the mapping, the battle background is also really nice. the choice of music is also good, I really enjoy some of the in game tracks. The game story, Gameplay is good, nothing to really criticize about that, I like the alchemy mechanic and mining mechanic. The battle not really my taste due to ♥♥♥♥♥♥ keyboard layout this game forces us. Why not just use default battle control like any RPG Maker game, where you use arrow button to select stuff and enter or esc to select or escape. Seriously My only problem is on the control mechanic, steam often f*** up controller and often not detecting controller forced many of us plays it with keyboard. and guess what this game lack about? A DECENT KEYBOARD LAYOUT. I am still gonna give this game positive due to actually decent mechanic and story line but the keyboard control maakes me on the fence for giving it negative ones. So conclusion: Make sure your controller is supported by the new Steam API (seriously steam, in past almost every usb controller just works, now only certain one, why?) then if you believe your controller is supported then buy it, I believe this game is designed for Gamepad (just like the splash screen said) and adding keyboard control for "better than nothing" reason.
Saw this on local RPG Maker forum and decide to give it a try. Great game, cute graphics. very refreshing since I am kinda need for a real RPG games made using RPG maker but not a hentie ones like lots of other rpg maker games. Please bring back real RPG Games made with RPG maker not just cashgrab selling boobs like other RPG maker games. This is a great starting point, I really hope in future many developer starting develop real RPG games made with RPG Maker, as a RPG maker user myself, I'd like to play this kind of game for inspiration and refreshsing.
I saw your post on Facebook and decided to give it a try. In my honest opinion, this one is one of the most underrated RPG Maker games around on Steam. The battle is cool; I am still learning to do a better parry or guard tough, the art is cute, but it can be better. I love the visual novel style when it comes to dialogue too I follow your page, and it looks like you are now working on the sequel of this game Your next project must be better than this one Here are my greetings as we are the same fellow RPG maker developer I hope you are doing well.
I've always been a diehard fan of the RPG that carries the ATB system. Just mention it like Final Fantasy V, VI, VII, VIII, IX they are all my favorites! So when I saw a new RPG maker game that carried this system, I was very enthusiastic. This might be my serious review considering that I really support the indie game climate of the JRPG genre. 1. Opening The first time I played, I felt a stutter in the map scrolling section in the village; it made my head quite dizzy I don't know why; is this my VGA error? I don't understand, but I tried to hold it and play again. Some of the text in the opening video was also unreadable because it was quite fast, but the delivery of their story premise was quite striking. 2. Battle In the first battle, I was not familiar with the controls, but after looking at some of the help files and info presented in the user interface, I started to find the rhythm of the game. It will be very satisfying when you manage to attack and defend in the next second, making the damage given by the monsters very small and sometimes tasteless. I'm starting to like it even more. I always play any game using my Xbox controller. Control the game feels quite comfortable. The difficulty level of battle in this game starts to become difficult when you don't take the time to look for materials and craft your equipment; this is very fatal! I just realized that they are quite generous with putting a lot of material items on each map so that we can really take advantage of the crafting features. 3. Crafting The Crafting system here allows you to increase elemental levels by sacrificing materials from monsters and crystals. It's very interesting because almost all the monster materials that you can finally have a use ^^. Crafting is the key to this game, so when I try to continue the story without focusing on crafting, I start to feel the enemies are getting harder to beat. 4. Story The story presented is very simple, you are two children who live in one village, living life like a village child like you can until a naughty cat keeps you in danger, lol. The story is quite relaxed and funny, in my opinion, especially in terms of Rucifar, who is very innocent and finds it difficult to understand what Luna wants. I think that's all I can say, this game is good, but the RPG genre that carries atb is very niche these days. I'm sure the jrpg fans out there will welcome this game well if they don't really care about 3D graphics or current graphics.
To be honest, I never had the chance to play a lot of JRPG genre games, only a few in their golden age on ps 1 and ps 2. The first time I played this game, I felt a little confused with the mechanical controls. However, after using the controller according to the developer's advice, I started to feel better when fighting. This unique ATB mechanism makes me often panic in fighting. We are indeed only controlling two people, but this is more difficult than it looks. Believe me, even after playing this game for more than 2 hours, I'm still trying to adapt to the battle mechanics, maybe because I'm too new to this genre and often play regular turn-based instead of ATB. Overall, the biggest advantage of this game is the quality of the story, which is satisfying; even though I haven't finished finishing this game, the way the author tells the story of these two children makes me laugh quite often. If you like JRPG with an ATB system that keeps your mind and hands active before the enemy beats you up, this game might be for you. I'm not very familiar with it, but I quite like the quality of the story. Good job; I'll probably try to finish this game.
When I tried to play this game, I immediately remembered one of my favorite games in the PS one era, Legend of Legaia, but with the addition of an active time bar that requires hand speed and agility in every fight. At first, I thought it was challenging and impossible for me to finish, but I got used to it after a few battles. The most exciting part, in my opinion, is the crafting item. The elemental system allows you to focus on farming crystal and loot monsters and basic materials that are your primary goals, such as silk or wood. If you manage to get wood with a high elemental level, you are most likely to make weapons with complete and powerful skill abilities. It will make it easier for you to focus on what part you will struggle with. In my playthrough case, I tried to make the primary wood for Rucifar's weapon with the best elemental value; if possible, the average level was 20. After getting the weapon then I continued the main quest to the next chapters. Overall this is the exciting part of this game. Trust me; it gives you a lot of fun. I'm pretty happy; this is a pretty good game when I play it. Hopefully, the developer next project in the future will be better and get enough attention from fans of PC games.
I've previously played many rpg maker games, and it's pretty comfortable to play them all. It's just that what I feel when playing this game is a new feeling that seems to require adaptation and quite a lot of energy to play a genre that I think is entirely new. Need speed, concentration, pay attention to the atb bar, also don't forget to do blocking. Playing just one hour still can't master the battle at this fast pace. I still detect some bugs, such as in the scene where we are looking for Luna at her house, there is a freeze on the screen, and it just disappears when I minimize the screen. The rest are all fine, and other reviewers have also discussed the pros and cons of this game.
