Lucky and a life worth living - a jigsaw puzzle tale is, as the title states, a jigsaw puzzle game developed and published by Mens Sana Interactive. Although I'd usually go over the story, since there is no story here, I'll jump straight into the gameplay. When you start up the game, you're given a total of 6 puzzle pictures to complete. However, only one is available initially, so you have to unlock the next one by completing the available one, etc. You can choose from among 5 different levels of difficulty, depending on the number of puzzle pieces: 135, 240, 375, 540, or 735. Of course, the more puzzle pieces there are, the more difficult it is to complete the picture. Once you choose your difficulty and picture to complete, you're given the puzzle pieces to assemble. There are ways to complete the puzzles more easily, such as options to complete the picture according to sections and a zoom in and out feature (via scrolling the mouse wheel) to better see the puzzle pieces. Once you complete a puzzle, you can view it in the gallery. Also, there are plenty of Steam achievements although they won't count towards a user's global total until the game is out of "profile features limited". Now that I've gone over the gameplay, I'll move onto my thoughts. Occasionally, I enjoy a fun jigsaw puzzle, and it has been a while since I last played one. Thus, going through my library, I decided to play Lucky and a life worth living, having bought it via a Fanatical bundle way back. Although there is no story, once you complete a puzzle, there's a positive message on the picture. I like games that give off these vibes, as there definitely needs to be more positivity in the world. In addition, as you complete the puzzles in order, they visually narrate a day in the life of Lucky the dog, along with parents. Although this is my first game with this character, I really like Lucky (and I suppose it doesn't hurt that I have a preference for dogs XD). Lucky is such a happy pet, and he's perfect for giving off that positive atmosphere. In regards to the gameplay, I was able to complete all of the puzzles via all of the difficulty options. Also, all of the Steam achievements unlocked for me without problems. If there is one minor complaint I have, it's that the puzzles felt repetitive after a while, going through the various difficulty levels. Although I like that there are a few difficulty options, I feel like it's not necessary to have a Steam achievement via every available picture and difficulty level. However, this is a very minor issue for me. Moving onto the art, I love the cute style here. It's perfect for the theme that the developers were going for, and I love the use of bright, vivid colors. This game is perfect for all ages, being very family friendly. Regarding the music, there was only one track, so more variety could have been added. However, I enjoyed listening to the track that was present, giving off that relaxing, calming vibe. Overall, would I recommend Lucky and a life worth living - a jigsaw puzzle tale? If you enjoy jigsaw puzzle games and are looking for one to share with the family, this one is definitely worth looking into. For the asking price, it's totally worth getting. Although it took me fewer than 40 hours to complete all of the puzzles with the difficulty options and to obtain all of the achievements, it's very possible to do so in less time. I admit that I'm not proficient when it comes to completing jigsaw puzzles in a timely manner, so I'd appreciate any suggestions to help me improve in doing so. ^^
If you found this review helpful/useful, please check out The Introverted Gamer.

Warning: Asset Flip!
Lucky and a Life Worth Living is a Unity Asset flip, what Valve calls a "fake game". The "developer", Mens Sana Interactive, took the Jigsaw Puzzle Creator Kit Unity Store tutorial/demo/game asset pack from the real developers, Allebi, changed the name, reskinned it, and dumped the result onto Steam. They're attempting to scam people into buying this, so they can get your money for someone else's work. It gets worse... "Jigsaw Puzzle Creator Kit" has already been shamelessly dumped on Steam by Mens Sana Interactive:

"My Little Prince - a jigsaw puzzle tale", asset flipped by Mens Sana Interactive
Take a look for yourself... it's exactly the same game, they just reskinned the same Unity template, now they're trying once more to scam gamers into paying them for someone else's game. The products that result from asset flips aren't "real" games. They lack depth and content, because they're just simplistic copies of demos or tutorials. In this case, "Jigsaw Puzzle Creator Kit" is just an asset pack for doing a simple jigsaw game, combined with art assets ripped off from stock images/the internet, and doesn't have any merit as a proper, fully fledged PC game, so a copy+paste of it can't be recommended. Asset flips don't involve any professional game development. Sure, sometimes they may change a few cosmetic things, swap out different assets etc, but at heart it's functionally identical to the asset they're ripping off. Asset flips like this are harmful to the gaming industry and to Steam because they reduce the visibility that sincerely made indie games should have, and make it harder for gamers to find real games from genuine developers. Don't reward this morally bankrupt, unethical behaviour from Mens Sana Interactive.
Wieder ein schönes Puzzle Spiel. Auch hier mag ich die Motive und die Animation sobald man das Puzzle zuende gemacht hat. (das mit den Katzen gefiel mir aber besser :P) + Erfolge
Short Review
Lucky and a life worth living is a cute, inoffensive jigsaw puzzle game built around six charming illustrations of a dog and his family. The art style is bright and kid-friendly, the music is relaxing, and the range of difficulty sizes makes it accessible to pretty much anyone. But six images spread across five size tiers starts to feel like padding well before you're done, the piece-attachment glitch is annoying when it shows up, and the lack of quadrant filtering is a feature gap that other games in this developer's library have already solved. It's not a bad game, but it's a thin one.
Full Review
I picked up Lucky and a life worth living as a jigsaw puzzle game to work through, and it's exactly what it advertises: a minimalist digital jigsaw experience built around six illustrated scenes from the life of a dog named Lucky and his owners. The art is the clear centerpiece here, illustrated by Katia Numakura with a cute, colorful style that gives the whole thing a lot of warmth. Whether it has enough underneath that warmth to justify the full achievement run is a different conversation. The art. The visual style is genuinely lovely. The illustrations are bright, vivid, and full of charm, and the aesthetic is a perfect fit for what this game is going for. It's the kind of art that makes you smile just looking at it, and it's clearly designed with broad accessibility in mind, being family-friendly in a way that feels intentional. If you have kids who like puzzles, the visual appeal here is a real selling point. The scenes are pleasant to piece together, and the art holds up well even when you're working with the larger piece counts and looking at each image in small fragments. The music. There is one track. One. It's a relaxing, calming piece that fits the vibe of the game well, and I genuinely enjoyed it while it was playing. But when you're sitting down to complete multiple puzzles across multiple sizes for the achievement run, a single looping track goes from pleasant to noticeable pretty fast. More variety here would have been better. The gameplay and features. The puzzle mechanics are functional, with five piece count options ranging from 135 all the way up to 735 pieces. There is also a piece-attachment glitch, which is the most frustrating part of the experience. Occasionally, two pieces that clearly belong together just won't snap, and the only fix is to exit and re-enter the puzzle entirely. The first time it happened, I genuinely second-guessed myself, wondering if I had the wrong pieces before realizing the game just wasn't cooperating. It's not game-breaking, but it's the kind of bug that shouldn't be in a puzzle game, where precision and feedback are the entire point. The content. Six images across five size tiers sounds like a lot until you're actually working through it for completionist purposes. The images don't change; you're solving the same six scenes over and over at different piece counts, and the repetition sets in well before the achievement list is cleared. For a casual player who just wants to do a puzzle or two and move on, this isn't an issue. For anyone planning to 100% the game, it's something to keep in mind. Overall. Lucky and a life worth living is a pleasant, well-presented jigsaw puzzle game that does what it sets out to do without doing much beyond that. The art is the genuine highlight and makes it an easy recommendation for kids or families looking for something low-key to enjoy together. For a more experienced puzzle fan or anyone going for completion, the thin content variety, single music track, and occasional attachment glitch add up to something that feels like it could have used one more pass before release. Not a bad game, just a limited one.
If you liked this review, then feel free to check out my YouTube Channel for more reviews. A jigsaw puzzle game with 6 different images you can solve in 5 different sizes (135, 240, 375, 540 and 735 pieces). It gives you the ability to filter edge pieces from the rest but it misses the quadrant piece filtering some other games from the same developer have. It is nice but it gets repetitive to do the same 6 images 5 times to get all the achievements. Works without any issues on Linux with Proton (6.3-8).
INSTALLING NOTHING
A super cute, cozy & feel good puzzle game. One of my favs from these series! :) * 6 puzzles * Options for 135, 240, 375, 540, 735 pieces. * Quotes and animated image when u complete each puzzle. Relaxing and beautiful little game! Family friendly.
a tiny puzzle game. The achievements didn't count for my total, which was a bit of bummer for me.
