Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.86/day in the week to Sep 4 → 0.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Truxton Extreme delivers white-hot shooter thrills for masters and novices alike. Take down hordes of alien invaders with your Power Shot, Truxton Beam, Thunder Laser, Homing Shot, Star‑mine Shot, and more! Don't forget to breathe as you face off against gigantic bosses in the ultimate battle for humanity’s survival
The game’s content, sound, and visuals have all evolved since the 80s. Truxton Extreme is now fully rendered in 3D while preserving the series’ iconic design. Staring insect-like faces, writhing metal tentacles, long mechanical serpents, glowing eye-like lights, and spikes… In Truxton Extreme, you’ll face your worst nightmares—and blow them to pieces!
Truxton has always been famous for its soundtrack, and Truxton Extreme is no exception. Original mastermind Masahiro Yuge returns with an explosive new score, packed with excitement and atmosphere. Experience iconic Truxton tracks reimagined from the original games alongside brand-new music. It’s the best of both worlds!
There are multiple ways to enjoy Truxton Extreme. The main mode is Story, where you follow three characters, level up as you go, and experience the narrative through an epic (and animated) manga series. For traditionalists, there's Arcade, and if you want more firepower, Team will let you play together with a friend and share your lives and score. Then there's a blistering score-attack Arena, Training and Tutorial too!
Do you love unlocking bonus content in games? Well, it’s your lucky day! In Model Viewer, you can check out the enemies you’ve defeated. And don’t forget to visit the mysterious Pipiru Village, home of all the cute Pipiru creatures. What happens when you evolve their home…?
Truxton was conceived by Masahiro Yuge during his time at Toaplan, with the goal of creating a scrolling shooter where muscle memory was key. But Yuge wasn’t just a programmer, he was a classically trained pianist, bringing a unique and critically acclaimed approach to game design

There are a lot of ways that Truxton could have been updated and brought into the modern world, and the developers of this game went the fun way. The music is exuberant, the graphics vibrant, the designs just the right amount of goofy without being dumb or lazy about it. The levels are well thought out, there are many different ways to play, lots of things to discover, and a bunch of different weapons. It even has a caravan mode, with a tight two minute game that's a joy to play. Truxton Extreme could have drowned under the weight of the legacy and players' expectations, but it focused on what was good, what could be better, and it made something that's both new and similar. It works, it's fun, it shines through with a radiant spirit, the way video games should.
I never thought I'd see the day. Despite the 3D looks and a shift to widescreen, this is very much both Truxton games mashed up and brought up to date in a new game. It looks like Truxton, it plays like Truxton, and that soundtrack! I've had the Truxton music burned into my brain since childhood and to hear it in this game, brought up to date etc, gave me goosebumps. Proper feel good stuff. I'm 50 years old and my hands are hurting but by god, I'll be playing this "just one more time" until my hands fall off.

Simply incredible. First, the music. You play Truxton because you want to hear the music from the first stage of the original. It's all here in its full glory, crafted by the original composer themselves. The 3D looks almost like a painting, with a custom-made feel to it. It doesn't look like "just another three-dimensional game." Personally, something makes me feel like every 3D game was built "on the same engine." Not this one. It exudes personality in every distant texture down below. And the challenge is highly creative. It's not a bullet hell. It's not purely an 80s vertical shoot 'em up either. It's Truxton Extreme. Super widescreen, yet vertical, and the gameplay is distinct. The shooting has that legitimate Truxton personality :) Every shoot 'em up has its own custom, unique power-up rule. Extreme keeps it simple: choose your weapon and there are only 3 power-up levels. After that, it’s all about the score. The speed-up is also "modern"—you actually control your speed manually, BUT there's still a speed-up "S" item to pick up too. It’s almost like a nice little inside joke from the game's creator. Once you dive deep into the game, you'll understand why :) To top it all off, they decided to tell a strangely engaging little story between stages. It features beautifully drawn manga comics, complete with well-crafted sound effects that sound genuinely original (I think someone worked exclusively on that in the game—if I’m not mistaken, there was someone in the credits just for the manga sound effects) and a truly compelling plot. You don't usually think about that when playing a shoot 'em up, but hardcore shmup players definitely love feeling like they're part of the adventure. And Truxton Extreme absolutely nailed that as well! Right off the bat, it's one of the greatest shoot 'em ups in history. Truxton Extreme joins Earthion as part of what I can already call a genuine renaissance of the true shoot 'em up—the best genre in video game history :) Oh, and make sure to play through with every character until the very end. That's the only way you'll experience the pure catharsis of beating Truxton Extreme, oh yeah!
Game is not without flaws, e.g. Arcade mode is just 1h+ slog. But the Story, Arena and overall game quality are amazing. I hope homing will be slightly nerfed in the future updates so there will be some reason to use other weapons. But yeah, game is fun. Surprise.
Absolutely fantastic. Looks amazing but still feels like a Truxton game. I was surprised at the amount of content for the asking price. You can really tell that Tatsujin wanted to do this series justice and they absolutely have. Easily my favorite Shmup of 2026.
I think this game is fantastic. I thought the demo was pretty good but was a bit put off when by chance I kept hearing lots of criticism talking about the pace being too slow, white shot is too strong, presentation is bland, etc. Personally I don't get where that comes from because I feel pretty much the opposite. The pace isn't slow to me, it's just different from more manic shooters and feels like its own thing. White shot is strong, but if you care about scoring it doesn't seem like you want to camp one weapon for too long because you get more points for stacking duplicate weapon pickups. My impression is you're rewarded for memorizing what color shots are coming up and using whatever weapon you need to while getting extra points from dupes. I could be missing something for sure but idk, so far this hasn't bothered me. This game has a ton of character. The music is awesome, enemy patterns are varied and interesting, and bosses are memorable. I figured the story would bore me and I'd mash through it but I've even been enjoying that too. The comics are great. If the game looks fun I recommend trying it yourself. I feel like a lot of effort was put into this one.
Excelente! Viciante e tem ótima performance!
