Ca me rappelle Ikaruga. accessible et profond. Très chouette.

Quick Score: 5/5 Notes: I'm not a shmup enthusiast by any means, but I like this game quite a bit. Pretty challenging but very fair. The standard story mode does away with the whole live/continues meme and just gives you checkpoints. Once you finish story mode you unlock the more traditional arcade mode. As of this review no one has cleared arcade mode on "black hole" difficulty and I'm #1 on the leaderboards. So any pro gamers out there, get to it! Overall I dont think I have single complaint for the game. The dimension swap mechanic is done extremely well and makes for a pretty interesting gameplay experience with a lot of options available. The "perfect swap" mechanic works like a parry and is extremely fun to pull off and extend your super attack. All the stages were pretty fun and I enjoyed all the bosses. Highly Recommend.
There shouldn't be enemies spawning in the middle and on the lower sides.
Super Nano Blaster is a really fun shoot'em up where your ship can switch between two dimensions, each one having its own enemies and decor. This switch mechanic could remind you of Ikagura but it's actually pretty different in practice. In order to succeed, you'll have to learn to see what's in both dimensions all at once, which is not easy at first but really satisfying once you get the hang of it. Luckily, the game has several difficulty modes and the easy one is ideal to learn how the game works. Higher difficulty levels will definitely bring a challenge but I didn't find the game too frustrating thanks to the many checkpoints. Some sections can be quite overwhelming but generally the level and boss designs have some good and original ideas in them. The game also has a nice pixel art aesthetic with really nice effects on top of it. Definitely worth the small asking price! :-)
What a fun classic shooter! I enjoyed the difficulty options as well as the level design and multiple ship options. Local co-op is a nice addition as well. The boss fights can be challenging, but fair. Definitely work a look, and try the demo out to find out for yourself.
Super Nano Blaster is a 2d arcade shoot-em-up with a unique enemy chaining and dimension switching mechanic. You can select a cute starting ship with other ships being found scattered around the 6 stages that the game contains. You get points by chaining enemies, If you chain enough enemies you will fill up a gauge in the corner. When full you get the overclock ability which gives you more firepower for a limited time. Use it to quickly clear out large amounts of enemies. Every enemy you destroy gives you an increasing score modifier so when to use your overclock is one part of the puzzle. The other part is the dimension switching. You may notice that there are walls and enemies that are grayed out. They are in another dimension. Pressing a button changes dimensions and allows you to shoot things, dodge difficult bullet patterns or bypass a wall. At first you want to constantly switch to shoot everything for the biggest score but as the game progresses so does the mind bending puzzles. You may need to hit a switch in one dimension in order to get past a laser barrier on the other side or to get through a wall that is blocking your way. This isn't always the case but if you find a section too hard, you can bypass difficult sections by not changing dimensions. This really gives me Ikaruga vibes with the constant switching to maximize score and avoid death. There are five difficulties and anything above hard mode is just insane. The harder difficulties have a larger score modifier to entice the arcade rats. Super Nano Blaster feels more like a puzzle game than a traditional shooter. It really depends on memorization rather than skill since some of the later levels have a lot of difficult sections. This game is very difficult even on normal mode. There is a checkpoint system and even though you lose score from dying, there is a limit to how much score you can lose from repeat deaths. There aren't any lives so you get as many chances to beat a section as you can withstand. If you die too much you get a 1up which is an extra shield. If you want a challenging arcade shooter experience that requires more of your brain than just memorizing bullet patterns, this game is right up your dimensional ally. Complaints. There is a slight delay when switching and it won't cause you a problem most of the time but then there's the stage 3 boss to consider with it's long laser pattern. The bosses are way to long and tanky. This may not be annoying for everyone and the game is only 6 stages but the bosses are like marathons. They developer seemed like they knew about this issue, Because every boss has a midpoint in their health that if you die, it becomes a checkpoint so you won't have to start at the beginning every time. When using a controller, the game just forgets your imputs when starting the game. I was using a PS5 controller, with steam configurations yet the game thought I was using keyboard and mouse every time and I had to change the setting. This is something that should be fixed. Lastly, the music score and sound effects are good but nothing stands out, the music is kind of in the background and I would have liked it to have a memorable melody or sound, but that's a very personal preference. In conclusion, the game is really fun and it's flaws are really minor. The game runs great and plays without any frame drops or strange issues. The developers have made some really cleaver decisions regarding the dimension swap that made me nod my head in acknowledgement more than once. The shooting and chaining is really fun and it's a great game for the casual player who wants to have some fun between responsibilities and the hard core player who wants to be at the top of the leaderboard. Not everyone will love the puzzle focus of the game but There is lot to love here for shoot em up fans on earth or in any other dimension.
Super Nano Blaster is a puzzle-shmup hibrid. I would say, the puzzle elements in this game have a bigger dominance over the shooting parts, and more difficults. This is a very creative game, where there are 2 dimensions and you can switch between them anytime (where there are no blocks on the other dimension). This 2 layered system was not new for me actually, i played Dimension Drive, which has the EXACT same concept, but with a different approach. In DD you see the 2 dimensions next to each other, like in a 2 player game, and you have to move your eyes to the other screen all the time when you jump. The system in Super Nano Blaster is better in my opinion, becouse the other dimension is UNDER your screen in a silhouette form, so you always see, whats going on there (even the bullets have silhouettes). The mechanics and puzzles are neat, the bossfights are really outstanding. There is a very friendly checkpoint system, so the game won't waste your time with replaying stages you already beaten. SNB is a clever little gem, with a different touch, its definitely not your everyday shmup. Grab it folks!
I am normally not good at shoot-em-up games but this one was pretty enjoyable. I definitely love that there are different difficulty modes so I can play easy mode and actually make progress in the game. I had fun!
