Truxton

It's a very, very good port, with a lot of decent options that allows even beginners like me to enjoy this legendary title (small hitbox is a must for me). Do not expect M2-level of attention to details, but there are no glaring issues here. Solid. Hard. Fast. Fun. "An elegant weapon of a more civilized age."

The frame rate frequently drops below acceptable levels (unstable FPS). This indicates a deficient technical port, failing to deliver a faithful arcade experience. I strongly advise against purchasing this version and I demand a refund for the product.

Habe diese Perle von Vertikal Shooter damals schon auf dem Mega Drive geliebt. Wenn ihr solche Shooter mögt dann kauft es :)

Decent port of Truxton. I did notice the audio can be a bit funky but it plays well and the rewind feature is really helpful in learning the game.

メガドライブ初期のレゾンデートル。それがこのゲームでした。 あのバージョンはスプライトの制限からか赤ショットがAC版と違うのですが、それが逆に横や後ろから来る敵の対応に便利だったので、楽しく遊べたのを覚えています。 攻略法自体然程変わらない（それだけ青依存という話でもあります）ので、ACでも通じたのもいい思い出。 さて、Steam版はAC準拠。超デカい被弾判定を、類を見ない強さかつ割とたっぷり出るボムとスピードMAXの超機動力でカバーする、「まだ人智が及ぶ範囲の」高難易度STGです。 1周全5ステージでそんなに長くない為、息抜きに良いですよ。 ・・・30年以上前の俺に聞きたいのですが、これをどうやってリプレイも無しに解いたんですかね・・・？

Great classic arcade shooter, tough as nails but a lot of fun if you put in the training.

Excellent arcade game that I used to emulate in my pc when I was a kid. Those spaceship designs inspired a lot of my drawings in my childhood. I'm happy to buy and play it now almost 20 years later :) Also it's as tough as I remembered. Good thing that you can use assist tools to explore the whole game without spending your entire life mastering the game.

Truxton hits all my nostalgia buttons. It was my favorite shoot 'em up as a kid, playing Sega Genesis/Mega Drive at my cousins’ house. Here on Steam, for the first time I’m experiencing this faithful arcade version — better than the one I played back then and packed with customizations, including rewind mechanics and difficulty adjustments (essential for a game as tough as this). I wouldn't recommend the second game, though.
