About
If you love tight combat, smart builds, and runs that feel wildly different every time — you’re home.
Fuse parallel characters, unlock new synergies, and tear through dark sci-fi worlds with speed, style, and precision.
The various branches of the multiverse are always changing. Fight through a combination of procedurally-generated levels as well as hand-crafted challenges and arenas that will put your skills to the test. Levels with 3D graphics are seamlessly constructed out of hundreds of custom-made rooms.
With weapons and attack systems that leverage our previous experience working on fighting games. You’ll slide, dash and dodge between enemy attacks and strike back with an arsenal of satisfying special weapons and abilities.
Each of your parallel selves has their own world with multiple biomes to explore, as well as their own sets of unique abilities and weapons. Travel through a universe of desolate wastes and caverns roamed by mutant creatures, escape the endless forges and labs of a world ruled by machines, and survive the dangerous sky cities of a post-human society.
Unlock permanent upgrades in the Hub and discover new starting points for your run as you reclaim major locations in each universe. Finding yourself getting stuck in one area? Start your next run in a different one! No matter where you die, or which starting point you pick, you're making progress somewhere.
The game’s characters and lore are crafted in collaboration with award-winning poet and sci-fi novelist Ada Hoffmann, author of The Outside, The Fallen, and The Infinite.
As the story unfolds, new starting points are unlocked across the multiverse, allowing each run to begin deeper into the journey. Even when a run doesn’t advance the narrative, players earn resources that can be invested in permanent upgrades back at the Citadel — steadily strengthening their characters, expanding their options, and ensuring meaningful progress toward the story’s conclusion.

Short version: Don't play this if you want a MetroidVania. Also (this one is on me) I thought you can change your character and universe as you go. Can't understand why they have to lie about the game being a metroidvania. But if you like rouge like games, give it a try. The fighting is not bad. Weapons variety is good. The trinity idea is cool. And the time they put to design different enemies for each world is admiring. Could be a great Metroidvania. sigh...
It's just a vastly inferior Dead Cells clone
Bottom line: it's a good time! Combat feels good, traversal is decent, and it isn't a huge time investment. Really creative premise, and the sci-fi style works well. Zero regrets here about supporting a small studio, and I'm delighted to see what they'll do next. If you're looking for gripes to go in with your eyes open: the amplifiers (run-specific power ups) don't feel great until you get your legs under you, and there's a weapon affix that shows up more often than I feel it should for how much potential it has to make a weapon either really *useful* or really *useless.* (The affix is the one where it will always crit if the enemy has a specific status condition but otherwise won't crit at all. Makes a weapon useless more often than not.)
I will simply say. it's not bad but it's not overwhelmingly good either. there is some passion I feel in it and how it was made and stuff. the story and lore is alright but nothing that may have you really truly feeling for the characters or their worlds. mainly because outside of areas and gameplay mechanics we don't see the real effects of the places. like there's no visibly seeing how the worlds are effecting every day life or how civilians or random people are suffering. it's only mentioned at and hinted at on paper and dialogue. Gameplay is alright there's some interesting mechanics and ideas. I would like to say I got this game on sale which it seems to go on sale often. there is some love in there for sure so I still recommend it if you are chill and want to. never know maybe they will make even cooler content later on too.

Dodging DOES NOT cancel out your attack animation
A generally enjoyable roguelike that feels similar to Dead Cells but a bit more simplistic. As with most games in this subgenre, RNG can often determine if you are severely underpowered or God-tier during each run. Meta progression is present but mostly underwhelming. Story has something to do with alternate universes or the galaxy exploding or something. Not really sure. The three lead characters looks and play almost identically, so there is a huge missed opportunity in terms of gameplay variety. None of the characters are very unique or interesting either. All things considered, the gameplay makes up for a lot of the game's shortcomings. Combat is smooth, flashy, and fast paced. RNG upgrades add some fun variety to the combat. For example, one creates a stasis bubble around your character that slows incoming projectiles while another plants explosives on enemies if you time a perfect dodge. Others can be stat buffs, health bonuses, or bonus abilities. Lots of enemy variety and plenty of levels to work through. Bosses are fun too. Runs smooth and visuals are great on a larger monitor. Trinity Fusion isn't one of the subgenre's finest entries, but is definitely worth checking out.
I might just have skill issues but this game is hard lol
Great game for the genre. Mechanics sometimes seem off but could just be me still getting the hang of it. As of four hours in, I fully recommend if you're a fan of the genre already or a outsider looking in.
Trinity fusion may not reinvent the roguelike wheel but it is fun, challenging and rewarding with great visual design. I like the setting and mechanics very much.
