11 18-hole courses in 10 environments, level editor and workshop support for more. plenty of customization, everything in neat drop-down menus, don't need to cycle through who knows how many one by one. 2 ways to shoot (drag & release or click & swing), 2 modes (regular or race for the fastest time), round time and stroke limit (several options for both instead of a slider for any value), optional free camera, optional ball reset at spawn or the last hole for the price of a strike. and since mini-golf is all about gimmicks, there's a bunch of those as well. power-ups (lava, ice, airstrike, etc.), ball shape and size, jumping, ball collision, gravity, bounciness, random player spawns, and 'extreme' disabling the ui or even the ball reticle, good luck. the ball can be customized in various ways too, but a dragon or sawblade killing it is only fun the first time at best. some of the transitions take forever too. fly around on a dragon for a full minute before the first shot, what an excellent idea. not particularly memorable in the audiovisual department, though music on the lab course is pretty good. decent settings available anytime. rebindable controls, separate volumes, resolutions, windowed mode, gfx quality (from very low to ultra, nothing more), fps lock, draw distance, mouse sensitivity sliders and axis flip toggles. simple, comfortable controls, mostly enjoyable if not extraordinary gameplay (love the giant birds and koi though), but it's impossible to recommend. not only is [b]the time limit per hole mandatory[/b] (between 15 secs and 10 min), [b]the game can't be paused even in solo play or at the end of a hole[/b]. the 'pause' menu simply darkens the screen and brings up some options and the next hole loads automatically and almost immediately, so you might be screwed even at 10 mins if something comes up. save and come back later, you say? the devs say ♥♥♥♥ no, [b]mid-course progress isn't saved on exit[/b] either. the demo seems to have been removed but [url=https://store.steampowered.com/app/3022060/]golf around lite[/url] is still available, serves the same purpose. a sequel is also in the works, not tagged with single player (yet?), but unless they fix the mistakes of the first one, it won't be worth bothering with either.
