Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.11/day in the week to Aug 4 → 1.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
It is a good well crafted story, but I don't think you can name it full game :) Because 75% of time you speak, speak, speak again and speak. Walking, speaking and only 25% are fights. As for me - it is very boring builds, boring game, after 9 hours wanted to end it as fast as I can and forget. Nothing similar to FFT or Tactic Ogre, even not close. Just one time game due to respect to Square Enix. UPD after 21 hours. It is one of the most boring tactic games I ever played. You are not playing, you are reading, reading, reading and again reading. If I want to play interactive stories, I would buy such genre. No interesting builds, no interesting skills, no interesting combinations, equipment, routes. Pretty linear heroes development,. Awful system of morality/loyalty/utility which you even don't know how much points you collect (in first run) - which is annoying, you are playing like blind cat or with guides.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 29: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Listen. for a mere $10 more than Triangle Strategy, you can buy both current releases of the FF7 Remake. At its $60 price point from the same developer, Triangle Strategy is barely worth looking at. It's merely "OK" in almost every respect. The presentation is all right. I appreciate their doing full voiceover work...but it's pretty middling with a few notable exceptions. The gameplay loop/combat are pretty repetitive and simple for an SRPG game at this price point. The characters are basically just single-note tropes. What finally convinced me to stop playing and leave this review was the writing. I was actually kind of enjoying the story until Chapter 6, when the villain puts his plan into motion. There is a scene where he literally turns his back on one of the greatest warriors in the realm that he is attacking to monologue. At any point during his grandiose speech, that character could have ended the game right there by just stabbing him in the back with his spear. He wouldn't have even needed to move from where he was standing to put an end to the whole situation. Your party, along with this ineffectual warrior then flee the scene with the enemy's forces right on their heels...only to end up at the castle gate waiting for the aforementioned ineffectual warrior to get them a boat. Despite the enemy being hot on their heels while they have only one place to go, and despite the lever that opens the gate being RIGHT THERE, the party just kind of...stops. Takes some time for some exposition. Chit-chat. It's the most ludicrous thing I've ever seen in an RPG, and it turns absolutely everything that might come after into a contrivance. Why didn't the warrior act? Because the rest of the plot needed to happen. Why wasn't your party run down by the superior forces of the enemy? Because the rest of the plot needed to happen. If this were priced at something closer to $20, I might give it a hesitant recommendation as a serviceable RPG for that price. At $60? No way. The value for money just isn't there. You want to drop that kind of money on a Square/Enix game? You can buy the FF7 Remake for just a few dollars more, Tactics Ogre Reborn (One of the original and best SRPGs) for $10 less, the entire Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster series (FF6 alone is worth the price), or hell, just buy Chrono Trigger (quite possibly the greatest 16-bit RPG ever produced) for $15, and use the rest to take your significant other out for dinner or something.
Great game if you like tactical RPGs/strategy games. I do want to elaborate a bit on the story everyone seems to praise, and maybe temper the overwhelming positive narrative a bit. It's a great video game story--perhaps one of the best I've played--but it's not a great story on its own. The actual story (characters, themes, setting, plot) itself is fine. Pretty standard western medieval fantasy stuff. Some twists are moderately interesting, whereas others are just beyond absurd. Minor spoilers, but one country is somehow able to sneak multiple armies right to the capital of another country, completely by surprise. Note: the main countries in this story are only 30 years removed from a terrible war with each other. It beggars belief that the country on the receiving end of this ass whooping would have no scouts or intel about neighboring troop movements. This is just one of many examples of mediocre to bad plot elements. However, what makes the story a great video game story is that your choices actually matter! The plot meaningfully changes based on major decisions you make, and other things--like character recruitment--changed based on the accumulation of minor decisions you make. So, would I read the novelization of this story? Absolutely not. Am I, however, eagerly awaiting finishing my first play through so I can play again and make different choices.
I had a great time with triangle strategy. The mechanics are fun, visuals are beautiful and the music is great. The influence from final fantasy tactics is clear. * The story is enjoyable but it felt a bit bland at times. It didn't evoke strong emotions or curiosity for me. The story branches out at times and comes back together a few times, so the choices made in the middle don't really matter much. And some of those 'come backs' are a bit forced. * The fixed 'build' per character is a deviation from FFT but I think it is a great change for me as my gaming time is limited and I am no longer motivated by a lot of tinkering but it still maintains a great variety of characters. Each character also gets to have their own story but these are even more bland than the main story...
I'm getting extremely frustrated with this game. I'm 2.3 hours in and the only fighting I've experienced was the damn tutorial fight which was over within the first 15 minutes of the game. I've been slogging through some of the most tedious and boring cut scenes I've ever witnessed. One after another after another after another. Each more boring than the last. I don't care about anything going on because the story also sucks so far. I've gained control over my character TWICE this whole time. I'm not having fun so far and I have no idea how many more cut scenes I'll be subjected to before I can actually play. It's pretty ridiculous.
Almost 30min in before first battle... which was tutorial. Another close to 4 hrs after that for the 2nd battle, which again, was 'scripted' for most part (a tournament that u end up 'losing' without even given a chacne to fight) - so 5hrs into game start and u fought 2 battles and 'lost' one automatically. Another few hours in before the story (which in of itself is shamefully bad with boring-deadpan voice acting the whole way) - Will stick it out, but if I knew this before I puchased (and due to the length of time it takes to even get a TASTE of what the game is like, no chance to get refund) I would never have wasted the money or time. Now am about 10ish hours in and STILL there really is not that many fights, and the story is just... not good. People keep saying the game 'opens up and gets better' but if u need 12+ hours to even START playing? Sorry, must be that ADHD I don't have having me write this, but skip this one and do yourself a favor, even IF it's 'free' it's not worth the cash. Further edit to review, after reaching end of game (one possible path) - total number of battles in the whole time playing (as of this edit i think was 17 hours played? admit part of that was paused time..) was 16 battles. Total. For entire game. This does not count the fake 'mock' battles which I figure they expected people to do to grind out levels. In the defense of the developers, it does have a 'new game plus' mode so u can try out other paths, but honestly, the path I took(spoiler, to free the slaves) was the only choice I found at all worth doing, rest were 'easy choices' that amounted to 'slathering on the lube and allowijng the big mean bad guys to have thier way' and tbh I am not intrested in that kind of 'choice' in a game where u should be the hero... I will not bother with any additional runs. Others likely will want to so that may be a deciding factor (the new game path, repeat playthoughs and more 'to see') so make of it as u will.
