Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.78/day in the week to Aug 4 → 1.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
It is easy to spot a review from someone who sprinted through Trials of Mana on "Beginner" mode just to say they finished it. While the vibrant, Saturday-morning-cartoon aesthetic suggests a light experience, there is a complex, gritty RPG engine under the hood that rewards technical mastery. If you treat this like a 15-hour hack-and-slash, you aren't just playing it wrong—you’re missing the entire point of the game. The Evolution of the Seiken Densetsu Formula: Many people try to compare this to Secret of Mana (SD2) and walk away disappointed because they can’t swap weapons on the fly. That’s like complaining a Ferrari doesn't have the cargo space of a truck. Secret was about utility; Trials is about identity. Characters being "stuck" to their weapons isn't a limitation; it’s a design choice that allows for the class tree. By locking the weapon, the game can fundamentally change how that character moves, strikes, and builds SP as they evolve from their base form into their prestige tiers. The 18-Hour "Skill Gap" Myth If you find yourself "mashing B and Y" for the first ten hours, you’ve ignored the Ability and Chain Ability systems. By Level 18 (the first Class Change), the strategy shift is massive. You transition from basic strikes to managing passive synergy. Unlike the spam-heavy magic of Secret, magic here is a tactical resource. If you think the magic is "limited," it's because you didn't build a party for it. A Dark-path Magus or a Rune Maiden turns the battlefield into a high-stakes elemental chess match. Class Strikes: These aren't just "special moves"—at higher tiers, they are animated tactical nukes that require precise SP management to chain effectively. The "Prestige" Tier and the True Narrative: The heart of this game is the Level 38 Class Change and the Tier 4 Post-Game content. A 16-hour playthrough is a "tourist" run. It bypasses the difficulty scaling that forces you to engage with elemental weaknesses, stat debuffs, and status ailments. The story only feels "hollow" if you refuse to engage with the specific character arcs and the high-level customization that defines the endgame. Final Verdict Trials of Mana is a theory crafter’s dream disguised as a colorful ARPG. It demands 30 to 40 hours of your time to truly breathe. If you want a game that plays itself while you click through dialogue, look elsewhere. But if you want to see how a 1995 masterpiece was modernized into a deep, rewarding character-builder, this is it.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 19: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

After the uninspired Secret of Mana remake, this remake ended up being tolerable.... except for one thing.... Charlotte's voiceover. I'll give it a pass, aside from that.
One of the fastest refunds I've ever done. This game is about as cringe and corny as a JRPG I've seen, and I didn't even play more than 20 minutes before I was rolling my eyes so hard I almost gave myself an aneurysm. I've played my fair share of corny ass JRPG's in my time but man this one just goes all in immediately with it. Bleh.
Let's get the bad out of the way first. * A lot of the English VA is difficult to listen to, so select the Japanese VA. * The AI is not great, and you might find yourself soloing a handful of bosses with certain party compositions. * What are Riesz's shoulder guards attached to? * The pink bird of Palo will no longer follow you. * Some late-game passive abilities are overpowered, so you will break the game at the end. But overall, it's an excellent remake of Seiken Densetsu 3. The game stays true to the spirit and atmosphere of the original game, and it fixes so many friction points. As an incomplete list: * You don't have to "grind" to feel like you can keep up in power and level. Skipping most random encounters is generally safe. * You are less likely to go broke, and going broke (and missing upgrades) is not punishing like in the original game. * The remake (in contrast with the original) does not "punish" you for promoting late. * You can actually experience the second and third classes earlier in the game. * There is no Pedan/Pedda grind for ??? Item seeds. * Most equipment is still character specific and are basically still just stat sticks, but there are status-protecting and damage-resisting accessories you can find that reward planning. * Enemy moves are generally avoidable, so combat rewards doing more than just facerolling. * The remake doesn't punish/counter you for using high-level charge combos (in contrast with the original game). * The game will point you where you can go next to advance the story, so there's no more getting lost. The story is still what it is (not super deep, mostly light), but the gameplay absolutely gives what you would realistically expect a remake to deliver, and it adds some other features (passive abilities, lots more treasure, in-town intra-party dialogue) to give you something new to experience. tl;dr: It's a good game.
This game has heart. Yet the reason I am thumbing this down is the lack of multiplayer. That is just an inexcusable disrespect to the series. They cheaped out.
This game is so much fun, a perfect remake of an old SNES classic. Just start the game on Hard though, as playing on Normal has no challenge whatsoever.
I feel like if you play this is in short bursts then its a fun time with a decent "turn off your brain" combat system and a nice colourful art style. Very re playable thanks to the multiple character roaster for each play through (I believe you need to do the game three times to get all story routes) and is thankfully very short for a JRPG at around 15-18 hours. Overall, a solid IGN 7/10.
