Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

I truly enjoy this game, i enjoy the mechanics and the tavern management, but I am honestly deeply disappointed when I realize this game has been in EA for years. Seeing all roadmap, it seems this game will be EA for another 3 years, even up until now, there’s no full release target. Caution for buying the game : If you seek narratives/ story, this ain’t it. The content is severely lacking. You can finish all content by mid 2 months in game time. Buy it only on sale, seeing the snail pace progression, full price ain’t worth it. Also only buy this if you enjoy sandbox type of games. You can run your tavern indefinitely since there’s nothing else to do. No reward as well on upgrading your stuff and grinding.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 22: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I held off getting this game because it looked like tavern management was all you could do; no town quests, main story, and seemingly no intention of implementing relationships etc. After having this game for over a year, I now think there isn't enough focus on tavern management. It's just there to make money and reputation. The story has started coming out (I was quite excited) but what has been added is just bad and boring with the only link to your tavern being your reputation. I'd have expected to story to revolve around the guests going to your tavern and providing them unique services that aid them as they go on their fantasy quests but instead we're going on our own irrelevant filler quests to individually challenge each rival tavern keeper in the world at their tavern? Is this going to be the entire story? I'm glad to see relationships and social standing is now on the roadmap but the community has been begging for guest types, bards etc and it has all been ignored. Like the other reviews all say; this game is having an identity crisis and has gone off the rails. I hope they listen to the community and steer this game back on track because the start IS REALLY FUN. But in its current state, it's not a game I'm optimistic about.
So as you can see I've been playing and enjoying this game for a while since the developing. It's nice to know it has been updated a lot recently so I come back to play. But: The new tutorial character, the toxic female furry that enjoys degrading and bullying people in her every sentence, might be favorite for some players, not for me. It's a suffer to go through the tutorial even just the first day. I'd rather skip all tutorial to start with knowing nothing. Which is what I later tried. I chose to skip "both the opening scene and the tutorial", but you still went into the opening scene (it's boring) and need to press esc to skip it. And you still see the tutorial character in your tavern, it's unsettling. Then, I decided to switch the language into something I cannot understand, just so I won't see what she's saying. But after a few days, it seems she will just stay in your tavern all the time when you are alone (when closed), this is horrible. It seems her line later became less bully very suddenly, this is more unsettling, feels like created to "make player love this bully", quite emotional controlling. And all the lines are still badly written, doesn't make the character lovely at all. So since it's like, after I bought this game for 5 years and running my tavern in it for 65 hours, now it's not mine, it's hers. And I have to accept to be degraded and "love her and date her". If I got to know this in the very beginning, this won't be a game that I play at all. I respect anyone who enjoys this type of character, but for me it's like after I've been running a tavern peacefully for five years, it's suddenly taken and I have to suffer toxic relationships. That's the end of it. A lot of other new NPCs also look like they need mental help. Those "various characters and new story" are basically s**t put on an already good game 6 years ago.
hom0sexual stuff really needs to stay out of games.
This hurts to write me, because I've owned this game for years and fell in love with it back in the day, but it isn't what it used to be. Traveller's Rest launched as a cute and simple little tavern simulator. A very basic game where you made your character, named your Tavern, and built your legacy. You worked up from nothing and progressed as you wanted to, you experimented with ingredients to make new recipes, you hired staff as you expanded, and you could sit back and relax and put hours upon hours into this game with a constant smile just enjoying a rarity in modern gaming, a simple game with simple mechanics that remained constantly entertaining. Somehow some way the devs felt the need to abandon that mindset, now the gameplay is tied to a story you're forced to use to progress, there's magic and all sorts of nonsense, you're handed all the crafting tables up front, and there's no real incentive to run a business in the way the game used to play. I wish the Devs would add a "Retro Mode" or something for those of us who just aren't interested in flashy gimmicks or some nonsense Story. I paid for a charming little Tavern game, and at the time I got it. But six years later it's not what I paid for, not by a long shot. There has to be a better way, but if you're looking for a game to unwind to after a long day's work, a game where the challenge is to see what ingredients make the most expensive drinks, and what methods generate the most income, and want to build a business and see it thrive? Check elsewhere, because for some reason this game is falling down a linear story cliff that it really never needed to go down to be successful. I went from thinking this game was a solid 8.5/10 to what is now a 4/10 experience. Unfortunately it will stay that way until there's an option to go back to playing it the way we used to, and getting back the experience we paid for at the time. I truly miss what Traveller's Rest used to be.
