A "cozy game" that's actually cozy: creative freedom for decorating; cute visuals and coherent design; open-ended goals; positive, affirmational dialogue; fun and light sense of humour; some fun rewards for going out of bounds; regular-ish random events... And fishing! This game has got it all! It's not perfect, but it's a real labour of love, and that love practically oozes out of it. When I found out that the dev made it to honour a beloved pet, it all made sense - I know how it feels to have so much love left over and nowhere for it to go. I'm glad it went into a game like this. What a great legacy for what must've been a great boy.
This is one of the biggest surprises I've played in a long time. It isn't often a game is capable of nearly completely capturing me to the point I forgo tasks I need to get done around the house. But this pulled me in immediately, and hasn't let go... What starts as a cozy little shop game gradually turns into something much deeper. The progression feels rewarding, there's always another goal to work toward, and the automation opens up at a satisfying pace instead of dumping everything on you immediately. I especially appreciate that automation doesn't replace the gameplay—it enhances it. You're still designing, optimizing, and improving your store rather than just watching numbers go up. The shop design, production chains, decorating, and overall gameplay loop kept me hooked far longer than I expected. It scratches that "optimize everything" itch without becoming overwhelming, and it's one of the few shop management games where I was constantly thinking, "I can make this layout even better." The developer has also been incredibly active with updates, bug fixes, and listening to feedback, and it really shows. If I had one wishlist for the future, it would be expanding the late game even further: * Crafting assistants or automation for recipes you've already mastered. * More logistics controls like employee priorities, stocking rules, work zones, and storage filters. * More reasons to optimize store layouts beyond decoration, such as small efficiency bonuses. * Bigger end-game goals like warehouses, additional shops, trade routes, or seasonal market events that give veteran players something to keep building toward. *Continuous store run mode w/sleep skip. (and real time day/night cycling) *Placement/building of walls, in addition to exiting removal. *Doors/entrances/windows, and other building aspects. Those aren't complaints—they're things I'd love to see because the core game is already so good that I just want more of it. If you enjoy shop management, automation, and steadily building an efficient business, Teddy's Haven is an easy recommendation.
I have only just started playing this game, and I find it absolutely charming. The relaxed, laid-back atmosphere combined with the cozy gameplay creates a soothing experience. The adorable animals, especially the cats that purr softly when you pet them, add a warm touch. It's genuinely a wholesome game that promotes calmness and joy. I can easily envision spending many hours exploring and enjoying this title in the future. If you’re a fan of store simulation games that focus on relaxing, immersive experiences, this game is definitely worth checking out.
After all the different simulator games that end up looking the same, functioning the same, and basically being copy pasts of each other, this is a true unique take on shop owner sim! Not only does the environment feel more unique, there's also so much to explore and discover. Randomized events that bring that extra WOW to your experience. Changing seasons that affect what you can harvest in the wilds. The devs have clearly put a lot of love in the creation of this game, it is making me wish I could buy the supportive DLC twice just to make sure the devs know how much their work is appreciated!
This is a great store simulator filled with fantasy! I love that it has so many different items and every day you find something different- maybe a giant fish or a giant tree man. It gets update constantly and you can sell potions to goats- what else do you want?
Very cute game, i highly suggest getting the game. it is incredibly enjoyable and i absolutely love it.
Trust me, getting to the Octupus is worth it but babes grab a snack, you're going to get hungry along your journey
There was a really nasty and mean review left on this game today and honestly this person missed the point of the game. The dev deserves better than that. I heard a few criticisms that this game has no challenge and that is like complaining that you get no superpowers in a Call of Duty game. That's not what the game is going for. Teddy's Haven was made because of grief and just like grief, we all play in our own way. If you want challenge then you have endless options of games for that, but to criticize this one being too easy is not a fair argument. I think whoever wrote that review needs a giant, kind creature to give them a pep talk to help them find the peace they need. That said, this game is for those going through loss, mental illness, mourning, stress, fatigue, and the every day struggles of life. Yes, you can't die or lose in this game, but this is meant to be a haven and a great way to relax if you just had enough challenge already. It's like playing Minecraft on creative mode except you do have to work towards building up your shop and all the creatures are friends. I would explain this game as a shop simulator if it existed in heaven. No more struggles, just a place to frolic and be creative and explore new opportunities while talking to wholesome creatures. I hope that the afterlife is like Ursa. This game is a beautiful memorial to the dev's beloved friend and a great way to cope and honor those that you might have lost. You can tell the dev put a lot of heart into this. I cannot wait to see this game develop even further.
Definitely a must-buy. Hard to put my finger on the reason why. Calm, kind, affirming. Super pleasant. There are pets and farm animals that love you when you pet them. Some awesome, scary moments that turn out to be all right. As if the game itself is petting *you.* Does that make sense?
Great game to sit and stream. I like to memorialize my past furbabys in the game the headstones are great for that but I kinda hope he will add a way to use your pets photos in the game .
