Do not pay £35 for it, £8 is ok .. but less would be better, it's yawn-fest worthy, but then i didn't expect too much, I don't recommend it on the basis of teh voice actors aren't the original ones, not even similar, the cars don't even look like the original cars, it's a reimagining? lol or they did what the other lazy writers did and multi-versed it, ruining a franchise lol
花几十块钱买个几乎不会打开的圈钱游戏,真不考虑去买个核心级的玩具来玩玩?

The game had it's goofy moments (that includes the models and their animations lol), but I had fun playing it. It reminded me of old playstation games! Took me back to those days :) I wouldn't say the game is worth as much as it fully cost tho.. so I recommend getting it when it's on sale <3
I enjoyed it, but definitely get it on sale! The game design is bonkers in a bad way. Some challenges are only difficult because of the time constraint, and it can get pretty old trying over and over again on some mini games. (Yes, I'm totally referring to the finding challenges). Some paths you're supposed to take are super unclear. Also,
the mandroid lair on the last level not being accessible while having an "X" over it even after completing the last fight is bad design. I only knew that it wasn't meant to be accessed because I looked up a guide after driving around for an hour.
Don't buy it expecting a WFC or Devastation level of story and gameplay. Personally, I thought it was fun because I was driving around as Bumblebee, but if you're looking for a more challenging game with more depth to the story, this might not be for you.

Transformers: Earthspark – Expedition, developed by Tessera Studios and published by Outright Games Ltd. in collaboration with Phoenixx Inc., is a game that positions itself as an accessible and family-friendly action-adventure experience grounded in the Transformers: Earthspark animated universe. It places players in control of the ever-popular Bumblebee as he journeys through a semi-open world to stop the antagonist, Mandroid, from unleashing the power of ancient Cybertronian technology. With its bright environments, nostalgic appeal, and accessible design, the game clearly targets a younger demographic, though it attempts to offer enough gameplay variety and narrative to capture older fans as well. At its core, the game blends exploration, combat, and light RPG mechanics into a structure that's easy to pick up and play. Players traverse three large biomes, each offering its own visual theme and set of objectives, collectibles, and enemies. There's an effort to encourage exploration—secret areas, side quests, and relics are scattered across the map—and Bumblebee can shift between robot and vehicle forms to suit different traversal challenges. However, the execution of these mechanics often feels uneven. Movement, especially jumping, has a floaty and imprecise quality that can make platforming awkward. Vehicle sections offer a fun change of pace but are sometimes hindered by clunky handling. The game’s combat system, while functional, is simple and repetitive: light and heavy attacks, dodges, and a few ranged options are all available, but enemy variety and AI don’t evolve much beyond the basics, leading to a sense of monotony over time. Visually, the game does a decent job capturing the stylized charm of the Earthspark series. The environments are colorful and readable, and character designs stay true to the show, even if they sometimes lack fine detail or animation polish. Cutscenes and dialogue sequences are presented in a straightforward fashion, though they can occasionally suffer from stiff animations or awkward transitions. The frame rate holds steady for the most part, but players may encounter occasional hitches or texture pop-ins depending on platform. While not groundbreaking in terms of fidelity or visual design, the presentation is adequate for its intended audience and supports the Saturday morning cartoon vibe the game leans into. Sound design and voice work are areas where the game does just enough to support immersion without exceeding expectations. The soundtrack is serviceable but largely forgettable—background music loops tend to blend into the scenery rather than enhance it. Voice acting is a mix of original characters and sound-alikes rather than the full TV cast, and while the performances are generally competent, there's a noticeable lack of energy or variation. Lines are frequently repeated in both combat and exploration, which can become grating during extended play sessions. On the other hand, some effort has been made to include accessibility options and player guidance systems, such as directional indicators for enemy attacks, assisted driving modes, and camera controls that make the game easier to play for younger or less experienced players. These inclusions help make the game more approachable and reinforce its all-ages design philosophy. Despite its clear intentions and moments of charm, the game does suffer from pacing and design issues. Missions can feel overly basic, often revolving around fetch quests, basic combat trials, or scanning objectives. The lack of a minimap and the inability to set waypoints or markers can make exploration more frustrating than it needs to be, especially when returning to previously visited areas to complete objectives or collect missed items. There’s a progression system in place, allowing Bumblebee to upgrade his stats and abilities by spending bolts (the in-game currency), but it unfolds slowly, and the upgrades themselves don’t drastically change the feel of gameplay. Additionally, enemy respawns in explored areas can feel arbitrary, especially when they interrupt backtracking or side questing. In terms of content, Earthspark – Expedition offers a decent amount for its price point, though this is more subjective. For players who are fans of the Earthspark show, or younger gamers looking for an accessible adventure without punishing difficulty, the game presents a satisfying experience with plenty of recognizable faces and lore-driven encounters. However, for older players or action game veterans, the lack of mechanical depth, polish, and variety may be disappointing. While it avoids being outright bad, it rarely reaches a level of excellence or innovation that would make it stand out in the broader landscape of Transformers games or licensed titles in general. Ultimately, Transformers: Earthspark – Expedition is a game that understands its audience and delivers a safe, colorful, and mostly competent adaptation of a beloved franchise. It doesn't push boundaries in any area, but it also doesn't collapse under its own ambition. It's a lightweight adventure that, while flawed in its mechanics and design, still has a place for those looking for a breezy, kid-friendly introduction to the Transformers universe. As a full-priced title, some may feel it comes up short in scope or polish, but as a casual, family-oriented experience, it holds its ground and manages to provide moments of fun and familiarity for the right player.
