DreamWorks All-Star Kart Racing

DreamWorks All-Star Kart Racing ist ein recht gut gelungenes Kart Rennspiel das hauptsächlich für Kinder gemacht wurde. Doch auch mich alten "Hasen" konnte dieses Rennspiel begeistern, denn die Grafik macht einen guten Eindruck, der Sound passt zur Stimmung, die Steuerung ist präzise und die verschiedenen Strecken runden den positiven Gesamteindruck perfekt ab. Sogar der Preis war in einem Steam Sale sehr günstig, mehr kann man nicht verlangen.

DreamWorks All-Star Kart Racing - мультяшный картинг с героями DreamWorks, который на старте кажется простеньким, но умеет удивлять сложностью. На низких уровнях сложности геймплей довольно медленный и расслабленный, почти автопилот. Но уже на предпоследней и максимальной сложности игра резко меняется - тут реально надо потеть. Без тактики в гонке делать нечего: важно вовремя сохранять нужные паверапы, правильно их использовать и не дать сбить себя с маршрута, иначе откатишься в самый конец пелотона. По сути это клон Mario Kart, но попроще и без особых откровений. Есть знакомые персонажи, базовые трассы, стандартные бонусы. Управление нормальное, графика яркая, но контента в целом маловато и он довольно быстро приедается. Я выбил почти все достижения, кроме одного, где нужно открыть все улучшения автомобилей за каждого персонажа. И вот тут игра начинает жёстко растягивать геймплей: сбор золотых артефактов обязателен на всех сложностях, во всех кубках, на всех трассах и за каждого персонажа. Это уже выглядит как дикое искусственное затягивание. Из приятного - есть неплохие челленджи с боссфайтом в конце, они реально добавляют интереса. В итоге это игра больше про «покататься вечерок», чем про залипнуть надолго. Детям или фанатам мультиков зайдёт, а хардкорным любителям картинга - с оговорками.

This was a disappointment. The controls are clunky (although you can change them in the settings), none of the actors who played the iconic DreamWorks characters return and the gameplay is boring. Just a generic racing game with DreamWorks thrown on there.

Deeply annoying video game. It plays fine at its core but item balancing hands you useless powerups at the back of the pack and characters never shut the hell up (Mr Wolf in particular needs to be shot). Track design is also largely uninventive (why is the New York Zoo so curvy? How did Madagascar Kartz do this better?) and the shop is full of customisation parts that simply do not look good and rarely change the look of the kart - not that it matters since the camera is so zoomed out it's hard to really see your kart in the first place. I do like the Trolls Surprises concept, allowing you to try to prioritize going for a regular offensive powerup or a more helpful one, and there's potential with the... whatever the shortcuts are called. I can't remember and I don't care to reinstall the game to look it up. The soundtrack changing depending on which troll host you select is also a neat idea, but this is one of the worst soundtracks I've heard from any game in a VERY long time. Either way, it's a mess. It's kind of a reskin of Nickelodeon Kart Racers 3, but where it's different is where it ends up being worse. It sounds worse, it looks worse, the track design is worse, the customisation is worse, the quips characters call out are worse - even the handling, which I find a little easier, is unevocative at best. Shrek: Smash n' Crash Racing is better. Unironically. That game slaps in a funny 6/10 way

Reúne a personajes icónicos de DreamWorks en circuitos coloridos, creativos y llenos de detalles. La conducción es divertida y accesible, mientras que los potenciadores y atajos mantienen cada carrera emocionante. Los gráficos son muy buenos, la banda sonora acompaña perfectamente la acción y el modo multijugador ofrece muchas horas de diversión. Un juego ideal para toda la familia y para cualquier fan de los kart racers. ¡100% recomendado!

In general i feel this could have been a better game if it was actually tested Sense of speed remains underwhelming, you feel like you are actively looking for scrap just to extend a boost. Linking drift, boost pads, tricks and notes, only to find it isn't always worth pursuing. The exterior side of a corner isn't worth taking for a boost pad, a series of jump tricks or a shortcut often dont translate to a better lap time. Boost duration feels inconsistent, to the point of completing the game and still not having it figured out. There's an egregious bug that may kill your boost while drifting on slopes, for arbitrary reasons. Time trials are shockingly unbalanced. And if you are having trouble with the best routes on a particular track you cant rely on the AI to figure it out, because they don't accurately interact with the games physics and mechanics.
