One of the best JRPGs I've ever played. Love everything about it, from great 3D artstyle and gameplay, to dialogues and story. I also loved the little QoL things that they have (like booting into latest save game instantly while skipping intros and menus). Excited for the second game. Plays and looks great on Steam Deck as well.

Es divertido, excelente musica, una historia que no le hizo justicia su primera version, pero que en esta resplandece. Y como conoci la saga a traves de trails of cold steel, me tenia que jugar esta gema.

C'est une très belle surprise pour moi. J'ai épluché un bon millier de jeux à travers les listes de découvertes avant de choisir celui-ci parmi 4 survivants du tri. J'ai grandi avec Final Fantasy, ses scénarios immersifs ainsi que des systèmes de combat renouvelés à travers les opus. Je retrouve un plaisir similaire sur ce jeu. Différent mais je retrouve un petit frisson perdu depuis des années. Le jeu est volontairement lent et peut paraître un peu mièvre au départ, avec je pense pour seul but de ressentir la véritable montée en puissance. Un coup de coeur.

I'm honestly surprised I didn't play this series sooner. I was pretty hesitant at first because of how long the series is, but once I finally played this remake, I got completely hooked. The world building is great, and the cast of characters is really enjoyable. I especially love Estelle as a character. She's easily one of my favorites. If you're on the fence about starting the series, I'd definitely recommend trying the demo first to see if it's your thing. If you're into JRPGs, I think you'll have a great time. You definitely won't be disappointed!

This game is really good, the hostory is good, the fights are good, the experience system is balanced, the orb system is something refreshing and the world feels alive.
