Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
An absolutely stellar remake of a legendary JRPG. The transition from 2.5D to full 3D is done masterfully, all while keeping the style and charm of the original game. The added QoL makes the more tedious parts of the original way better, like map markers for missable items/quests and fast travel. The weakest part of the original, combat, is also extremely fun to engage with now since it ditches the turn based only system for really good hybrid combat. And the remixed music? It'll send you to another plane of existence. Remake glow-up aside, the game itself is great. The characters are definitely the strongest part of the game, since all of them are well-written and memorable. Estelle is an excellent protagonist and I have a hard time choosing which side character is my favorite. The story is also very well written. It starts off as a slow burn, but not in a way that drags on. The buildup and payoff from that slow burn is well worth it, too. World building is also done very well, as you can really get immersed in the setting of Liberl. There are a few negatives with the remake, but honestly they feel more like nitpicks than anything else. A lot of NPC models are reused throughout the game, there's an odd lack of voice acting in some sections of the game, and there's a few quests that the added QoL map markers kind of ruin, like the Phantom Thief side quest. All-in-all, I would highly recommend this game to anybody looking to start their journey through the Trails series, since it's the beginning of the storyline and leaves a great first impression with all of the improvements over the original game.

The game itself is good, this review is mostly for people who are new to the jrpg genre like I am. If you dislike spending more time reading dialogue than actually doing something and characters that will let the villain escape 10 times because they would rather preach morals than take action - this game, and most of the genre, is not for you
The only thing I dislike about this game is how they changed Estelle, and even so the general characterization of Estelle compared to the remake is still similar enough that it's a minor complaint. Estelle in this game is "softer" compared to the original in a way I dislike. She's more "effeminate", and it feels weird to have reeled back Estelle's more tomboyish traits in the remake when if anything that would have been more unique to the JRPG sphere to have kept her the exact same. Other than that the game is good would dress Joshua as a woman again.
The only regret I have after 65 hours (I left the game open a lot ahah) is not having started this series sooner. Let's start with the story: It's fun, engaging, and at times even endearing. Now, is it perfect? No, for example: the pacing is REALLY slow, and it's not fully voiced for some reason, but I'd actually excuse the first point to some degree, since it's the first game in a very long series — so they were obviously trying to set everything up. In addition to that, it also has an amazing cast of main and side characters, all with their own stories and objectives. (I can't underline this enough: it's probably one of the strongest selling points of this game) Not only that, but I loved how the NPCs progressed their own little "questlines" in the overworld; it was a very nice touch... even though sometimes they re-used the same models a bit too much ahah Performance-wise, I had no issues whatsoever. Stable 90 FPS at max settings with my 4070 and zero crashes. Last but not least, the gameplay. Which is also pretty damn good and engaging, allowing the player to choose between action and turn-based combat for field encounters (all the bosses are turn-based). Leveling and gearing up are what you'd expect from a JRPG: they don't modify your character's appearance but are still pretty fun to mess with. After Xenoblade 3 and Re: Fantazio, I was waiting for the next big JRPG to steal my heart, and I can confidently say that Trails managed to do it effortlessly. I'd recommend everyone who's into JRPGs or Anime to give it a try; you'll not be left disappointed. Can't wait to play the sequel in September!

the pacing is way too slow.. my expectation were really high because of the overwhelmingly positive review i should've bought Ys X instead, this game doesnt click with me at all i guess i wont be trying the other trails series, falcom should've just made a sequel for Tokyo Xanadu
BEST. REMAKE. IN THE WORLD. What a titanic amount of work was put in to please both those who played the original and those playing for the first time. The game was made with heart and respect for the original — Trails veterans can run through Liberl once again. I'm so happy to replay my favorite arc in a new wrapper, and I can't wait for the remake of my favorite installment. Huge thanks to Falcom! Highly recommend playing it! A perfect opportunity to start the Trails series for anyone who's been wanting to try it out.
There's something special about this game. Not just a good JRPG. Original had it, and remake kept it. Also, style, combat, story, music - all top notch (but can only recommend JP voiceover). Must have for all JRPG enjoyers (and others ofc) regardless of whether you played the original or not. This remake is done right imo
