Finally done with my first playthrough, one of the best turn based game I’ve ever played. Really enjoyed the story too, looking forward to the 2nd chapter!

I just finished Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter, and I honestly couldn't be happier with how this remake turned out. It perfectly captures the heart and charm of the original while modernizing everything around it. The gorgeous visuals, expressive character animations, updated combat system, and incredible soundtrack make Liberl feel more alive than ever, yet nothing about it loses the soul that made the original so special. What impressed me most is how faithful it remains to Estelle and Joshua's journey. Their growth, the world-building, and the small character moments are still the heart of the experience, just presented in a way that feels fresh and accessible for a new generation. Whether you're a longtime Trails fan or someone looking for the best place to start the series, this is an easy recommendation. It's a fantastic example of how to remake a beloved classic: respect the original, improve where it matters, and preserve what made people fall in love with it in the first place. Thank you, Falcom, for giving this classic the remake it deserved. I can't wait for the next chapter.

I've always been interested in the Trails series but the amount of games always felt intimidating. This remake was a great excuse to get into the series. And it's good. The gameplay is interesting with the matching of real time combat and turn based with a lot of option for tactical choices. The story has a few interesting plot twists and ends with a cool cliffhanger. Good thing we are getting the sequel just a year after this. The characters are likeable, even though a few of them are pretty archetypal. The game also runs great. Which is kinda expected. It is not exactly a graphical powerhouse but it doesn't need to be. Can't wait for 2nd Chapter.

I didn't play the original, so this goes without being nostalgic, this game is the best JRPG I've ever played. Everything about this game is perfectly executed from gameplay, music, and story. Yes, it does has some JRPG cringy moments but those are kept at minimum. The writings and dialogues most of the time feel natural and fun. I've never invested so much emotion into an anime game before and the final chapter kinda broke my heart, but leave me excited for the second chapter. Totally a 10/10 experience.

Great game, great story, little flaws, and 2 combat systems. I had fun building lots of my characters and dealing insane damage with all my status effects set up. The story was also promising to me, pretty soul-touching, and I'm excited to see the second game being remade to finally experience the "best" game in the trails series.

Je découvre la série avec cet opus et il n'y a pas à dire... J'ai passer un agréable moment, le jeux est bien rythmer avec une gestion de l'expérience très bonne qui permet de ne pas être au dessus du niveau des boss et donc de leur rouler dessus de plus, les musiques sont marquantes ce qui au final fait qu'on apprécie découvrir Libel (petit plus, il tourne très bien sur le deck)
