I absolutely love this! Ticks all the boxes for me: - one of the best examples of a modern take on classic gaming values - easy to learn, difficult to master - beautiful simple visuals - cracking soundtrack More of these please!
Une excèlente surprise clairement axée arcade.
Great minigame, but the controls are ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up i dont know if its just me but i cant change my name with any buttons whatsoever and the menu is just partly working as well...
It looks good but its too hard and it has a lot of unskipable stuff. Even if the game was slowed down, it would still be pretty repetitive and uninspired so really it just has the looks.
I was looking for a game that could somewhat remind me of the Vectrex. On thar front, Trace Vector does a good job. And the simple gameplay is fine, but there is an exceptional amount of downtime for the player what should be an arcade style game. The game play loop is simple enough. Guide your little cursor up and down along branching lines picking up fuel and avoiding hazards. That is the game. However, before each vector maze, the game absolutely has to show you the whole thing. Sure, fine, I guess it is good to know what is coming up. But the preamble and score tally between actually playing is just about half the time of playing the game. I don't know about others, but I play retro style videos to increase the amount of time I'm playing the game. Not play for 20-30 seconds and then wait 20-30 seconds to play again. This stop and go loop pulls me out of the 'one more try' every time I boot up the game. Not that there is a whole lot here in terms of game play. Maybe it takes a bit to find some fun in this game, but I don't feel like something going for a basic premise should take that effort to search for. I'll certainly pick and play it from time-to-time to try and find that. However, I certainly can't recommend it unless it is about 99 cents. Even then, I would suggest lowered expectations.
really fun game, seems to be best played with a controller, if you like the 80's beats you will really like this game.
Tags: Casual - Runner Additional Tags: Delete Local Content & Remove from Library TLDR: D-pad branches navigation with neon aesthetic, fuel conservation and slow motion. Requires twitch reaction. Decently executed but repetitive. Minimalistic audiovisuals are not grating. The gameplay ramps up in difficulty gradually. Endless and adventure mode. Xbox360 pad works good. Decent job. It is just a runner in which you have to orient a dial in the right direction to pick a path. Since you see the path ahead of time you do not go in blind, and there is a slowmo button to help if things get dicey. Which you can recharge by picking ammo cells along the way. It is a simple recipe but decently executed.
Great game. The artwork is awesome and the soundtrack fits perfectly.
Very sexy take on the runner genre.
