Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.43/day in the week to Aug 10 → 3.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
A voice is saying your name. A WWII-era machine, long hidden in a church basement, whirs to life. Through a crackling speaker, a man asks you to find a stolen book. He only knows the title. Time is running out.
The machine, created by Bletchley Park engineers Cecil Caulderly and Beatrice Dooler, contains a vast archive of obscure books, letters, and journals fed in over the span of fifty years in an attempt to crack the code of reality. As their lives fell apart, the machine kept working.
Navigate the computer’s archive. Link its obscure texts and uncover its creators’ secrets. Communicate with the man behind the speaker to figure out your role in this mystery. Destroy the book at the core of the machine — before it’s too late.
Deduce links through the archive to locate hidden sources.
Unravel the stories and unearth the secrets of the books’ authors and the machine's creators.
Map the archive and find the book that will rewrite the world.

Featuring the voices of Rebekah McLoughlin (The SCP Archives, Eternal Threads), Paul Warren (A Highland Song, Viewfinder, The Séance of Blake Manor) and Phillipe Bosher (Baldur's Gate 3, Doctor Who, The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy).

A very strong puzzle game that falls a little short toward the end. Otherwise, finding sources and puzzling together the setting for this game was a genuine treat. Highly recommended.
Another gem from inkle
A really neat kind of puzzle that asks you to think in layers. You're trying to both logically think about names and dates, and also narratively think about how events tie together, while unraveling a fascinating story behind it all. I've played a lot of puzzle games and I don't think I've played one quite like this. I absolutely recommend avoiding walkthroughs or spoilers; it would really defeat the purpose of playing the game at all. You have an in-game notebook that keeps track of your progress, but depending on how invested you want to get, I'd say it's worth it to keep your own notebook; the game's notes don't quite connect everything that you might be able to piece together in your mind until you make a definitive connection. Hard to explain without giving too much away, but you'll see. Don't worry too much about time - I promise you are given everything you need to follow the trail and get to the end. For 7 bucks, I'd call it at least a 9/10, only reason I'm hesitant to go 10/10 is I wish it was a little longer. That said, at 2.9 hours I've only completed the mainline necessary to get an end screen. I do plan on 100%ing it so maybe I'll feel differently after I piece it all together and see another ending!

An enjoyable deduction game, with a good automatic in-game notebook. You'll need to take some notes, but just a few. It's reasonable and intuitive if you're patient. I almost always need to use a walkthrough to finish a game, and here managed to get a decent ending and all but 3 achievements sans walkthrough.
VERY fun! The game is highly immersive, and I'm impressed by the multiple ways you can control everything. The controls are very flexible. Clicking, dragging, keyboard; it all works! The only thing I wish for is a way to tell how many total things (cards) I haven't seen. Now that I've beaten the game, I want to see the content I missed or couldn't find. I don't want to spend many hours brute forcing to see everything. I highly recommend opening the settings and turning off hints to see how far you can get without them. I beat the game (good ending) without them after about 5 hours.
This game is quite similar to The Roottrees are dead but it is more narrow in it's delivery and story. The gameplay is okay and navigation in the entries is very satisfying when your match is correct. While i have some grip that the commands are a bit obscur to find (if it is even showed) but to resort to some brute forcing devalue a bit some logical thinking. It is not that much mind you but being stuck sucks a bit. But whilethe game is short and condense, the ideas behind are great and i enjoyed my time with it.
I thoroughly enjoyed this one. The puzzle part of the game is mostly identifying missing portions of code through reading text. The story was interesting and there are multiple endings.
Short game of deduction. Probably about 4 hours if you're very goal-focused, 6-ish if you explore more. Very reminiscent of the work of Sam Barlow (Her Story, Telling Lies, Immortality), so if you liked any of those, you will probably like this. I enjoyed it a lot!
Fun puzzle game, with an interesting concept and novel interactions. Very retro feel throughout. The only real issue I can into was that with it being an "open" world, I accidentally found the final piece when I was half way through the game, which immediately shifted the tone of the narrations in a way that didn't make any sense yet. Got there eventually.
