Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.43/day in the week to Aug 10 → 3.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
A voice is saying your name. A WWII-era machine, long hidden in a church basement, whirs to life. Through a crackling speaker, a man asks you to find a stolen book. He only knows the title. Time is running out.
The machine, created by Bletchley Park engineers Cecil Caulderly and Beatrice Dooler, contains a vast archive of obscure books, letters, and journals fed in over the span of fifty years in an attempt to crack the code of reality. As their lives fell apart, the machine kept working.
Navigate the computer’s archive. Link its obscure texts and uncover its creators’ secrets. Communicate with the man behind the speaker to figure out your role in this mystery. Destroy the book at the core of the machine — before it’s too late.
Deduce links through the archive to locate hidden sources.
Unravel the stories and unearth the secrets of the books’ authors and the machine's creators.
Map the archive and find the book that will rewrite the world.
Talk with your handler at any time, creating a dynamic audio drama that responds as you explore.
Featuring the voices of Rebekah McLoughlin (The SCP Archives, Eternal Threads), Paul Warren (A Highland Song, Viewfinder, The Séance of Blake Manor) and Phillipe Bosher (Baldur's Gate 3, Doctor Who, The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy).
Original soundtrack by Laurence Chapman (A Highland Song, Heaven's Vault, The Mask of the Rose).
TR-49 takes inspiration from narrative deduction games like The Roottrees are Dead, The Return of the Obra Dinn, Type Help and Her Story, and from audio dramas like The Magnus Archives and ars PARADOXICA.

An excellent use of interactive fiction to tell an engrossing story with some fun puzzling throughout
Kinda great. Short. Sweet. Intriguing. Not too difficult, not too easy.
Incredible from start to finish

最好在一無所知下玩的解迷遊戲。
A deeply intriguing puzzle game that drops you in it from the start and insists you figure everything out on your own. I found this just challenging enough and there was an interesting enough story line that kept me engaged. Though, I did lose track of some of the plots and people at times as I was so focused on revealing the connections between things. I'll potentially play again after a period of time, to try and get a full achievement run, but this is really a one and done type of game I think.
Excellent jeu de déduction qui vous absorbe littéralement. Complexe, mais très agréable à jouer. :)
那个迷宫就是先找钥匙再开上锁的门,别纠结那个牛头人:(
Great game, short but not too short. I highly recommend turning off tips. 7 hours for 100%. I looked up a few things just to finish off a few red dots I was missing. If you're having trouble figuring out what you are missing on a page, remember:
Many authors have a main author page on their birth year
Great game
TR-49 is such a clever, well pieced together game, you should absolutely give it a shot if you like "virtual desktop" games with tinge of mystery. The audio and visual design are stellar. The way the machine comes to life, the ambient sound, the flickering of the lights; it all contributes to create a deep sense of immersion. You can feel how tense the setting is and how what you're doing matters. The voice acting is pretty good tool; it helped add a lot of personality to these characters you interact with (indirectly for the most part). Whether you're using your keyboard to input the letters and numbers, or dragging the levers and dials in-game, it all feels quite satisfying. It becomes intuitive as you get familiar with the system, but the game still has a few tricks up its sleeve to keep you guessing. The wrtiting was the standout for me, even though some of it went a bit over my head. Things get deeply philosophical and you really feel like you're getting to know all these authors and the history some of them have with each-other. Having it all from the point of view of people commenting on the works is a great touch. It's like going down a Wikipedia rabbit-hole, except a lot of it is written subjectively, which is a plus, in my book!
