About
Decades after the Shimu people were forced to flee their homeland due to the invasion of a mysterious force known as the Withered, the Shimu have returned to reclaim their rightful home: the fantastical island of AGHASBA. As junior architect, it’s your job to rebuild the villages of your once-mighty civilization as well as nurse Aghasba’s once-thriving ecosystems back to life.
EXPLORE THE ISLAND OF AGHASBA
Traverse varied terrain, scale colossal mountains and gaze out upon jaw-dropping vistas, all brought to life in a vibrant, high-fidelity art style. Befriend strange and memorable creatures, learn the storied history of the Shimu people and uncover the dark origins of the Withered.
REBUILD THE SHIMU CIVILIZATION
Build sprawling settlements and watch them come alive as they’re inhabited by members of the Shimu tribe. Lose yourself in a rich creative sandbox as you decorate and construct your villages in a way that’s uniquely you.
RESTORE AGHASBA’S ECOSYSTEMS
Restore life to a devastated land by nurturing the growth of beautifully bizarre ecosystems. Grow plant life, attract & feed animals, and work with the gods of Aghasba to revitalize the island.
BRAVE THE WITHERED LANDS
Much of Aghasba is still infested with the Withered, a dark force that absorbs the life from all it touches. Craft weapons, armor and elixirs before venturing into the Withered Lands and battle bloodthirsty Withered monsters, gradually ridding the island of the Withered plague.

Team up with friends, and together, breathe life back into Aghasba! Each player has a unique island, their own personal world to decorate, cultivate thriving ecosystems, and restore from the blight of the Withered. In co-op multiplayer, players can team up to breathe new life into each other’s islands.
Please note that multiplayer is currently in a prototype stage.
Cooperative Gameplay: Join forces with up to three friends (4 total, including the host) to explore and revitalize the island. Engage in activities such as decorating, building, combating the Withered, planting diverse ecosystems, and gathering resources.
ToA MP focuses solely on cooperative play, with no player-versus-player elements.
Personalized Islands: Every player maintains their own distinct island, reflecting their creative vision and efforts in healing the land. While islands remain individual and do not transfer between players, the collaborative experience allows for shared exploration and mutual assistance.
Shared Progress: Items and amity acquired during multiplayer sessions seamlessly transfer back to your personal island. This ensures that cooperative endeavors contribute meaningfully to your individual progress and development.
Quest Progression in Co-op is currently available in a beta state. Note that any quest and story progression experienced in multiplayer is only applied to the host and does not carry over to other players in their own worlds.

First time I tried this game it run well... now it's unplayable! Game looks like a raw gem!
I have played this game on pc and on steam deck over the last few years. This game is fantastic, and it really seems like it would have a broader audience if more people knew about it. It's one of the few games that I was able to sit down and play for hours, think about it between the next gaming session, and then enjoy it more the next time I've played. The gameplay and idea really grabbed my attention. I haven't played as much in awhile as I have a lot of other games, and I prefer to play finished games, so I'm patiently waiting on that. Generally, the idea of the game is you are a character who helps rebuild their civilization, as well as the nature around the land. You develop a sort of symbiotic relationship with the world/environment as you bring it back to life. Felt a little like playing n64 zelda with combat, but newer/better. Overall fantastic game that really transports you. From what I understand, the team working on the game is smaller, so roadmap has changed, and updates are few and very long between, however they're worth it. I am waiting until 1.0 to play again, but leaving a review because the game is great as is and it deserves more positivity.
I really tried but the woke Ideolegy is just so bad. I just continued playing the game and only white dude as far as I got was a bumbling idiot and it just seems the amazing quality and effort put into this game was wasted. Im just so sick of this crap. Keep my money. Regret buying this game. Could say more but moneys gone move on.
came back to play after a while, but my performance is so bad (no matter if dlss is on or not), i get barely 30 fps.
This game is one of my favorite!
Really awesome game. The visuals are cool, the gameplay is really fun and the combat is generally challenging. The progression feels meaningful without being the entire focus. They've gone from a small team to an even smaller team (see the steam discussions), so things have slowed down but they're still at it and the game is already worth the time but maybe wait for a sale price-wise.
Great fun, amazing ideas.
Beautiful game and concept.
Tolles Spiel
